  2. I really dunno how he's held down that job for so long considering how many people get laid off from ESPN
  3. Reading this really makes it hit home: Mel Kiper is kinda a dope.
  4. I thought we had an excellent draft. We addressed positions of need while still landing quality players across the board. Looking at the class as a whole, it’s clear the front office is taking a long-term approach—many of these picks feel like investments in the future rather than immediate fixes. Freeling projects as the eventual successor at left tackle, which could allow Ickey Ekwonu to slide inside to guard. With that shift, Robert Hunt could become a cap casualty next offseason, opening the door for Ekwonu to take over at right guard. Will Lee also looks like a forward-thinking pick, likely brought in to replace Mike Jackson if he leaves in free agency after the season. Overall, it’s a draft built with both depth and future roster planning in mind.
  5. @TheBigKat the rumor was you didn't make a serious offer. 12,000-10,000 should be fair. I don't get how Zob, the leader..........has lost or just stop caring about his former creation "Carolina Huddle". Sure tepper is downer of downer, but things do look on the up even with BY...... Sad the whole deal. It like my old father who gave up a property and just let nature take it back....he lost his will and would not sale, so it just got worse and worse until it........
  6. I think a lot of the B grades are simply "You didn't land an impact starter at WR / TE / LB / S, therefore you failed".
  7. Today
  8. I buy this too, yucs were right there........ still fug the ravens for backing out of the Crosby trade.... Glad panthers stayed, great to land a future LT there...
  9. The wait 3 years thing is BS from a fan perspective. Ain't no one waiting three years. Ask Trevin and XL
  10. Oh, Sugar, when you're close to me You love me right down to my knees And whenever you let me hit it Sweet like honey when it comes to me Skin is caramel with the cocoa eyes Even got a big sister by the name of Chocolate Thai
  11. You joke, but I legit rather see him...... Im not joking.
  12. I know the rule "wait 3 years" From a forum and talking side, given they picked 19th or were awarded 19 in each round, this draft was as solid and as need filling as I can recall. I do overrate drafts in past years, none from herniay. I feel they had a huge group in the 5th- Lee was 129, hecht 144, and Wheatley 151. I bet they had Hecht higher, but Lee was the last CB with the skill they want. Still killed it I feel and just need to wait to see if best 3rd day in panthers history, its not got to be too good.... Only draft I feel all 7 picks got decent odds of starting. They filled the need list and didn't reach outside of maybe lee. Felt like a master class by the whole team. I do not like the UDFA pool unlike the past two years, but that doesn't lower the love for the whole group.
  13. I heard it through the grapevine that it's signed, sealed, delivered that there ain't no mountain high enough that will keep them from saying I want you back.
  14. If Motown has his normal upcoming season, would he pass Jordan Gross on the list??
  15. I like what Freeling brings to the table all around. If he is willing to put in the work he has an opportunity to be one of the better Tackles in the league down the line. Hunter Brazzell and Hecht are all premium additions but development from our staff are the key to unlocking them. Hopefully Lee and Wheatley will provide much needed additional depth to our secondary. Beyond that it's important not to get too caught up in draft grades. Many drafts over the years that turned out to be really good were not fawned over with praise. While some that were ended up being historical duds. Panthers fans ought to know this as well as anyone. In conclusion...
  16. Maybe a bit of a homer take but I can't give us a grade lower than A. Freeling was arguably the best LT prospect in the draft. His athletic ability is off the chart and at 6'7" that can move. It was a no brainer pick. Hunter's key word is Violence. Putting him next to Brown should scare an offensive coordinator. These two give Scourton and Phillips plenty of chances to get one on one opportunities. Brazzell, another tall receiver with sprinter speed. Our WR room is filled with tall talented WR. Brazzell is going to give us a WR that can take to roof off the defense. Basically Jimmy Horn with size. W. Lee III has a nickname of the Blanket. (heard this on the Beleav podcast with J. Stewart) What a great name. A great value in the 5th round. Hecht A strong, fast and extremely smart center. Many had him listed as the best center in the draft. He's most likely a starter sooner than later. Wheatley A good safety in round 5. Someone who could see playing time. Kuwatch I love this pick. At minimum he will be a key piece on special teams and with some good coaching he'll see some packages where he'll play. His down piece is he doesn't stay up in the running game. Good coaching will fix this. He reminds me a bit of A.J. Klein. All these picks were great value. I believe everyone of them were graded higher than the pick we took them. Dan Morgan is IMO doing a great job turning this team into a good team with great depth.
