  1. Past hour
  2. Thieneman went 6 spots later after another OT. So that tells you something about perceived value
  3. If he was their BPA, then he was the right pick. I just don't agree that he was BPA or would have the most impact this season.
  4. I would have been very happy with Thieneman too and one of the receivers could have been a great addition as well. Im just happy that they value OL. Nothing is worse than OL hell we went through
  5. Couldn't agree more and 100% well said. Not guaranteeing that Freeling will be amazing for us, but the potential ceiling he has is what you definitely want for an OT. I honestly had him 1B to Fano and am thrilled he fell all the way to us
  6. Short-term thinking like that is how we become the Jets and browns... Most offensive tackles are not going to be very good day one of their rookie year
  7. No. I love everything about what Freeling can become. That being said, he is still very raw and needs time to develop. It also never hurts to have depth on the oline. If freeling balls out year 1 (which is probably wishful thinking), then we start evaluating how well icky comes back and whether he moves inside or if we move on from moton. While I absolutely love this pick and am surprised he made it to 19, he definitely has a lot of work to do developmental wise
  8. Freeling had higher grades than Thieneman most everywhere. There were a few that didnt. But we're talking OT vs safety and the team doesn't use lists made by media outlets. They make their own.
  9. Lemon and possibly Thieneman were higher rated and at positions of need also. And... they would start or get significant playing time this season. Monroe is a high ceiling project player that likely won't start a game this season. Just hope they have plans for using him this season, even if they're unconventional roles. For the record, I don't see this as a bad pick. They have a plan for the future. But this pick is not the most impactful for 2026.
  10. Today
  11. Come on. Even if he became a 10 year starter for us? Imagine if the Packers or Chiefs were that short sighted.
  12. Lemon or Thieneman would’ve helped this team take the next step immediately
  13. Ehh, I understand why they did it, but just really sucks to be in that spot. There was a better choice for the first round IMO, maybe he’ll surprise me but I wouldn’t bet on it. Very raw, doesn’t seem very fluid.
  14. Icky isnt coming back this year. That would be quicker than anyone else by a good amount.
  15. First round picks need to be Day 1 starters unless you’re loaded and Super Bowl ready. I am not saying he won’t develop into a great LT but we need immediate impact players.
  16. He’ll be starting at some point this season. There’s no depth behind either tackle position and injuries are bound to happen. He’s prob the most athletic OL on the roster.
  17. Not only a good pick, but good on Dan Morgan and company to do what they did during free agency to allow for a pick like this. He will def play this season he is not a bum. After that he should be a starter. Now I would load up on defense.
  18. We have five more picks right now. Tomorrow needs to be on point. Hopefully it will fall our way again. I knew, or expected, that we would have a good selection of players available to us at 19. I don’t know about that at 51.
  19. I think the Panthers have one of the best group of Oline coaches in the NFL, so I think it's more likely than not that he reaches his ceiling in Carolina. Which means I think they drafted a 10+ year starting probowl LT at 19th overall. Pretty good deal if you ask me. I said it in one of these threads, great pick for the 2027-2028 Panthers and beyond.
  20. If he ends up being a probowl LT for 10 years but doesn't start this year... It's a wasted pick????
