In fairness, if someone is going to take away the GWDs that he did nothing, then they should add when he led what should have been GWDs but the worst NFL defense did nothing afterwards. There were several of those as well.

Offense is way down across the league -
Take what you can get. Atlanta’s D has been very tough the first two weeks and our receivers aren’t exactly setting the world on fire. We have one legit guy who can challenge the D right now and he’s a rookie who is still finding his way. The game plan to control the game with solid defense and safe offense was the right one.

It wouldn't at all surprise me if they came into this game thinking it was basically a glorified joint practice where they could get the W while trying to work on some things. It doesn't matter how bad your opponent is in the NFL you can't look past them. That team is full of guys who were all conference and all American in college and were 1st or 2nd day draft pics and guys who are making millions of dollars to play football. Yeah, they may relatively suck in relation to the rest of the league but don't get too cocky.

Yeah, I screenshotted the wrong thing. See above. It's actually worse. LOL

Sunday was a Vegas day. Nobody won money yesterday. This happens every year. Might be the Packers only loss all season. I honestly don't care what Bryce's stats are as long as we hog the clock and convert on third down. -
I'm wondering if ATL didn't think: "We need to see what we have in Penix. Carolina is so bad that they are the perfect team to try this against." Otherwise, it was pure stupidity to not just run Bijan. What's good for us and bad for them is (1) Penix is as bad as we hoped, (2) We were not as bad as we appeared in the first two games, and (3) when they switched over to Cousins, they only got evidence that he is still not their savior and, at the same time, that they will not get that "premium" price for him in a trade.

The drives: GWD1 (vs. Texans): Drive started at CAR 9 with 6:17 left down 1. Bryce was 5/6 on the drive for 50 yards. We won on a last-second FG. GWD2 (vs. Falcons): Drive started at CAR 5 with 7:35 left down 2. Bryce was 5/5 for 68 yards on the drive. We won on a last-second FG. GWD3 (vs. Saints): Drive started at CAR 36 with 3:26 left, down 5. Bryce was 1/3 for 26 yards on the drive. 22 yards were awarded for pass interferance. Chuba scored the go-ahead TD. GWD4 (vs. Giants): Drive started on NYG 23 with 9:49 left in overtime following a fumble. Chuba ran three times to set up FG; Bryce did not do anything on this drive. GWD5 (vs. Cards): Drive started on ARI 49 with 4:11 left in overtime. Chuba ran twice, the second being a touchdown. Bryce did not do anything on this drive. GWD6 (vs. Falcons): Drive started on CAR 30 with 10 left in overtime. Bryce was 5/5 for 56 yards on the drive. Of these, Bryce was directly the guy responsible in 3/6 of them (Texans, Falcons 2x), partially responsible in one of them (Saints), and had no part in the other two. Again though: you were looking at the full-game rushing yards column lol

It should have helped but they can't prop up the level of quality even with those rule changes. It helped WRs where duds can be identified really early. The QB play is so bad teams are fine with playing washed guys who still outshine the younger guys. The olines has also dropped. It's softer for sure but I still think it's what is being filled up into the leauge. -

You can really see it when you look at the explosion of and access to online betting and high fee fantasy football as well. Rules were changed to favor higher scoring games increasing the spreads and making the games more exciting and lucrative for gamblers. -
Is that what I said? Or is that just what you want to argue against? Let's take a look at his "game winning drives" last year. First up, the 2-7 Saints... Nice 26 yards completion going 1-4 for 26 yards with Chuba scoring on the ground from 16 yards out getting helped by 22 yards in penalties. Next up, the 2-8 Giants... Literally nothing. We recovered a fumble already in FG range. Next up, the Cardinals... Again, literally nothing. Two plays, 2 20+ yard runs by Chuba. But Bryce gets another "GWD" on the stat sheet. Finally against the Falcons we have what most fans would consider a legit game winning drive...

That probably is a part of it but I really think the QB rule changes and move away from violence and physicality for ball carriers was the biggest change the NFL had ever gone through and impacted the game immensely. Even more so than the Mel Blount. I was watching the 2008 AFC championship game the other day and it’s a completely different sport. -
Okay, this is just silly. You're looking at the whole-game rushing yards column my man.
-
I'm done with crap football. That game was terribly boring and the football quality was terrible.
-
Absolutely. I'm concerned by what I've seen this year because he looked much better at the end of last year, and I don't mean in terms of stats. He doesn't seem to be seeing the field as well, or maybe it's the turnover at WR, I don't know.

That's the normal changes the leauge always has. something new and then the adaptation. The talent coming out of school is just not very good and has been on a decline for some time. -
Allen isn't a problem for the Bills the way Bryce feels like he might be for us. There's nothing wrong with taking what the defense gives you but in that game alone Allen basically exceeded Bryce's completions over 10 yards all season.

Sports media is trying to act like Arch has arrived after having a great game against lowly 0-4 Sam Houston. Meanwhile, the internet is absolutely cooking Arch for flexing on 0-4 Sam Houston like he was really accomplishing something when he's looked like hot garbage against any decent team so far. LOL

We have zero deep threat WRs right now. We aren't going to see many bombs until either XL steps up into a deep threat role or we get someone who can actually do it. The game clearly didn't call for any of that yesterday either, Bryce did all he needed to do to see out a win. I'm fine with that.
-
What's misleading about the fact that this is the first win where Bryce didn't have to lead a GWD in order to get the dub?
-
And then you have potential game winning opportunities like last week...

It’s not the teams, it’s the league. Since 2018 GMs have spent considerable time and resources building personnel for nickel and dime packages. It caught up in 2024 and offenses are adapting back ahead of it. Look no further than the SB champions last year. -
This is definitely true. For that matter there were two games Bryce was a huge part of us fighting back and nearly winning last year even though we came up short. Those were as impressive as some of his game winning drives imo.
-
And we've seen Bryce go deep as well. He doesn't have the cannon or the legs that Allen has, sure, but the fact that the two put up the same passing charts in wins but nobody is dogging out Allen because he isn't "too smol" says all that needs to be said. Especially when combined with the fact that his (Bryce's) chart last week and it was still an L:
-
Felt like the best game from the defense in a long time, especially first half wise. Despite the muff the D didn't fold like they have after previous turnovers.
