Has it really come to that? Bryce lovers vs Bryce haters? I don't love him or hate him so what am I? Is there an Independent party?

I don't think he will just get Rooney Rule interviews "just because." There has to be some level of at least passing interest. -
Lol, too early. I've been tinkering with mocks for a month now.
-
Rivera is more of a fanciful thought than anything else That said, I do think there's at least a half decent chance we have a different defensive coordinator next season, and there's more than one possibility as to how that might happen.
-
Don't know that he would, but it's an interesting thought. Person also said there's zero chance of Canales giving up his playcalling duties. But OC isn't necessarily the only job that might be available, especially if some of the current staff have other opportunities (or even simply aren't under contract). Lots of guys who lose head coaching jobs work their way back up from the bottom.
-
You have to figure that at the very least, he's going to get Rooney Rule interviews, possibly several. And again, all it takes is for one team to like him
-
fug the Cowboys is your answer.

I'm not sure they look at his draft status at all. As a fan, we think that happens. I honestly don't feel it's happening here at all. He is the obvious best QB on the roster. If they can continue to develop him to where his poor performances would pretty much be the exception....then I can see why they want him. When he is on point, he makes amazing throws, even for a man his size. His ability to make plays off platform is fantastic. I am with you, his poor performances are beyond frustrating. He is so incredibly clutch, I still find myself astonished with what he does in the clutch. 2 TD'S off 4th downs is badges, regardless of the physical talent.

I don't think it is very likely. We will see. I wouldn't be exactly distraught if he was to leave. -
I don't see a scenario where we win enough games to get a wildcard spot but not enough to win the division so I view any team's games besides our and the Bucs to be irrelevant. Sure there's some statistical longshots but I'm not gonna worry about any of those. If it happens and we get in via wildcard I'll take it, but just gotta focus on winning the rest of our division games. Seahawks game would be nice too for some cushion if the Bucs drop one then we could split our series.

We're the masters of our own destiny at this point. To get in we have to win the NFCS. Winning out is all that matters for now. Control what we can.

He could. HC is more about leadership than designing schemes. He's gotten the defense to really overachieve this year. I could see that being very appealing, especially to some places where underachieving has become the norm, like the Raydahs. -
Ron is an older version of DC. He was always slow to make any changes, especially on offense. Painful as it is to remember, we ran the exact same offense in SB50 without making changes and Denver wiped the floor with us because they knew exactly what was coming. DC needs to be either the HC or OC, he's shown he really can't be both.

Although a wild card seems very difficult we got the tie breaker over the Boys but they have a tie. 6-5-1 Lions are 7-5. Can I get an Einstein out there to help me pull for one of these teams. Of course I hate the Boys but does this even matter for our chances.

I feel that I'm Bryce neutral and it's definitely both sides. Threads absolutely get made when he plays bad (rightfully so) and when he plays good. He is the most controversial player on our team at the most critical position. Of course threads are going to be made about him after each performance good or bad. I think it depends on what side of the aisle you are own. You clearly aren't a fan of his so it appears like you are getting spammed with counter threads when he plays well. Some of the Bryce fans feel the exact opposite I am sure. It's sports and as fans our opinions will vary.

Here's the text from Pelissero's piece... Panthers DC Ejiro Evero, 44: A former college safety at UC Davis who went to training camp with the Raiders, Evero has coached all three phases -- offense, defense and special teams -- and was well-regarded at each stop during his previous 17 NFL seasons, working under everyone from Vic Fangio to Dom Capers. He won a Super Bowl with the Rams and then got his first DC job in 2022 with the Broncos, whose defense was a bright spot in a frustrating season. Same with the Panthers' defense in 2023, before injuries decimated the unit last season. Evero's defense has improved this season (13th in scoring) on a Carolina team in the playoff hunt. He interviewed for eight head coaching jobs in the hiring cycles after the 2022 and 2023 seasons, earning second interviews with the Colts, Falcons, Panthers, Seahawks and Texans, and could be in the mix again. 2026 NFL head coach hiring cycle: 24 young candidates to know if you want another kick in the head, click the link and check out the first two names he mentions.

I'm aware. That's why I said it will all depend on how he recovers. I could see him getting signed then going onto long term IR, risk v reward, but at a very low cost or he could just sit available as a FA. Hate it for him because he is a really good backup to have but Achilles injuries seem like the quick way to retirement in the NFL.
-
He was featured in Tom Pelissero's annual "Assistants on the Rise" article. And not as an honorable mention either. He's actually the sixth name listed.

The Bryce "haters" don't go around starting a bunch of anti-Bryce Young threads. They aren't unhappy we win. But after a win, the Bryce brigade is going to make 89 threads and tie every conversation into Bryce actually being good and needing the credit.... Dude is a roleplayer and spotty one at best but it can't be just that. like I have said, if people treated Bryce like the QB he actually was.....we just wouldn't be talking much about him and just enjoying the surprising wins in harmony overall.

I read it. The point he was making (via satiric exaggeration in this case) is that some folks on here who could choose to be happy and celebratory about winning games choose instead to grouse about Young and his stats. Would you deny that?

Doubt Ron would leave his gig w/ his alma mater to.....help Tepper out

I think EE is walking no matter what happens. Tepper did him dirty and he isnt going to forget -
Well it was on JR but not for that reason. In 2009 JR fuged the cap to tag Peppers trying to force him to stay, or keep him from leaving. However you want to put it. That is the year Jake got that extension. That was totally connected IMO. Moving money. And you always reward the guy who will redo his deal, or traditionally that is a part of it. And why Peppers wanted to leave, well that could have been on JR too. I think this was after JR publicly called him out wanting him to be a leader. It didn’t go over well with Pep. That’s how I remember it anyway. Maybe there was more to the why of him wanting to go. It wasn’t money though.
