The team is really high on Cam Jackson too. He flashed in limited reps and is way more athletic than I thought someone his size would be. Rookie contract only pushes him to get more reps amd let Robinson go.

I'd wait on Richardson until next year. His contract is up and I don't see Indy picking up the option. I'd welcome him in a QB2/Taysom role. Short yardage situations, halftime hail mary's and goalline sets. Also, if Young goes down, AR is about what I'd expect from a QB2 thrust into the lineup for a few games. Some good ones, some stinkers.

I wouldn't go that far simply because I think we need to sign a decent vet too. Sign a decent vet and draft three and you're standing a pretty good chance of cutting a draft pick.

I would also add that our free agency is going to make the draft much easier to predict.

I am pretty bullish about the DTs in this draft--I could even see us taking one at 19 if the right guy falls.

Sonny Styles is a SAM backer for me. He’s going to bought too high for what he is.

The Jets traded JJII to the Titans for Sweat. I could see them double-dipping now with 3-4 type EDGE/backers at 2 and 16. Could we see a Reese/Styles reunion in NY? That would be an immense shift for that D with Sweat dominating the middle of the DL and those two former teammates wreaking havoc in an odd front.

Love the look of Lee Hunter and the OSU NT McDonald. Would be nice if this team had a serious nose tackle again….

I personally think you can never have enough pass rushers so wouldn’t mind going Edge in FA and draft.

I’m more worried about Styles going to NO at #8. He looks like Megatron-lite.

I loved Star and Short probably just as much as Luke and TD. I would not mind if Morgan went full hog Molly this draft.

I was saying something similar. The drafted guys take time to develop. Unless you have a shot at someone like Julius Peppers, you are going to have to wait. Not exactly the same thing but for instance we got Charles Johnson in the 3rd, took him at least until his third season to start making difference. So get a guy that is ready now short term. A prove it year for an established edge would be ideal. Let him prove it, say thanks, let someone else pay him. Pad the position with another developmental guy later.

I have the same thoughts about RB/OL. What did we pay Rico? Not much. I know you saw the size of some of those holes when he was going off. You can get 90% of the way to HOF level RB for probably a third of the money. Put that behind a well built OL and watch him work. I would trade that out of that pick in a minute.

Yeah, I was hoping to see significant improvement in Wallace this year. I'm pretty much always willing to give rookies a pass - especially a mid-rounder forced into a significant role put of the gate. Just show me some flashes and reason to hope there's something to build on. But when you still look like a week one rookie at the end of year two... ehhhhh... makes me wonder if there's anything there to continue to invest in. Going into year two in looking for more than flashes, I'm wanting to see some consistency and reliability and definitely by the end of year two. I just never saw it. He still looked like a rookie throughout.
