  2. Trade Ashawn and a 5th round pick. That helps with the $$$$
  3. They just gave their RB a big contract, it probably needs to be someone else. And as far as Love, if he is all that someone will covet him and we can use that to help us get what we need. Which is still a lot, special shout out to the Icky injury. So in that sense I would love for Love to fall to us.
  4. I had that thought too. I would be relieved and yes, push another guy down closer to us. Please. I just don’t see us having a great reason to elevate a TE to our 1st round pick. Even at 19. There is no Cam here to sling it down the seam to Olsen. We are not playing that game and I don’t see that changing. edit: plus we have a couple of pretty good big receivers to work with and a promising young TE on the roster. I say TE by committee can do the job, in this offense.
  5. The 2025 Panthers went to the playoffs with this behind center. What can we do with a marginally better passer?
  6. This is what worries me too. Same college production as well. Makes me skiddish because there were times I felt Davis was underwhelming but he was a chain mover. Best case scenario he shoots up to inside the top 15 after this combine so another stud defensive player falls to #19.
  7. Vernon Davis. Man I was strong on him. And he did nothing really. Until after Singletary ran him off the field like Wilks did Robbie Anderson. It is a pretty famous blown gasket by Singletary, who took a lot of heat from the participation trophy crowd over that. But I am pretty sure Vernon later said it turned his head around and helped him.
  8. If there was EVER a year for the Panthers to pull off the fabled “Trade Back and Pick Up An Extra 2nd Round Pick”, this is it.
  9. I can't see how it's a absolutely not when I have heard more say BPA in 3 different interviews this week. So at number 19 tell me one player who is on the board that is projected to be there better than love who is a to 5 talent in this draft.
  10. Crazy enough they had similar college production which I kinda find underwhelming for such freaks of nature.
  11. I love how the huddle just so convinced we gone find a franchise qb so fast if we let Bryce walk ? We gonna be right back in the cellar trying to start over again . Yeah let’s do that lol
  12. I am too dull to understand those spreads. But my eyes say this: When he is in the pocket and steps not just up, but through a gap so that he is alone yet still behind the LOS - he has put both the blockers and the rushers behind him, and he is in the open… that is how he can find someone. And he has made quite a few good plays doing that. If he stays in the actual pocket, he is very often dealing with obstructed vision. He has made some plays from the pocket but generally they are to the outside or a bit deeper. You just have to watch.
  13. This backup phone autocorrect is ass. Fixes literally zero typos but will occasionally fug up something typed correctly.
  14. They would not be favored in a series vs Detroit, Boston, New York, Cleveland, Orlando, Oklahoma City, San Antonio, Houston, Denver, Minnesota, Lakers, Phoenix or Golden State. And I could argue they wouldn't be favored in a series vs the Clippers. That's half the league. But that's cool that "differential" says the Hornets are "kinda good". So you're saying this is the best starting 5 in the history of the NBA? But expected to lose over 30% of the rest of their games. That makes sense ....
  15. Today
  16. as a panther fan knowinf the horrible decisioms they tend to make. i am ecpecting any day them to announce long term qb contraxt with byoung paying him top ten qb money.
  17. When you take the process oriented approach, you rarely get the wow factor. I still see this team 2-3 years away from a legit SB contender. The goal is to slowly but surely build the roster with great players that you know will be impactful. Give me a clean prospect like Thieneman over a guy like Faulk who has the measurables but lacks production. I use Faulk as an example since we met with him. Faulk scares the hell out of me. Not a fan. Calculated risks that might give you the “wow factor” are necessary at times, but not in the 1st round imo. Esp not for the Panthers.
  18. Bud Clark is testing really well. That's not good. His mid-round projection was largely based on people expecting him to test out as a mediocre NFL athlete.
