25-26 NHL Regular Season Thread

Why has this forum lost so many people? Minus 10 of us, there is no one anymore. -
How many teams with established starters ever bring in competition? Do you see the Bucs telling Mayfield "you were the starter last year but this year you have to win the job again"? If the team believes Bryce can be the guy (and just about all indications right now are that they do) they're not gonna put money and resources into another quarterback. They'll direct those toward shoring up somewhere else. You don't believe Bryce should be the guy. I don't believe Bryce should be the guy. Hell, a solid percentage of this board doesn't believe Bryce should be the guy. But the only people whose opinions matter appear to think differently.

they did have natural grass for FIFA and just replaced it with turf afterwards, just going to show it can be done. even if this wasn't ideal

Why would you not let him compete? Put the best QB on the field. Period. Why must we coddle Bryce? Why should everyone else on the team have to compete for a starting job except for him? You think if the team sees another QB outperform him in TC and he's still handed the job it won't wreck the locker room? Again I say. Loser mentality.

They might beat Purdue, I'd still lay with Purdue just based on size and speed. Forget the drops. I'm basing my opinion on the fact that JMU is incredibly small and slow, and that's with another incredibly small and slow team on the field with them.

Reich gave Evero leeway to pick most of his defensive position coaches, but Wash didn't have any history with Evero. His connection to the 23 Panthers was via Dom Capers who'd worked with him in a senior assistant role when Wash was the jags Defensive Coordinator. By coincidence, Wash actually has a little more history with Dave Canales. He was Seattle's DL Coach for two of the years Canales was coaching receivers. A couple of the guys Evero brought in have since been fired. I'm still surprised Evero wasn't after last season, but after hearing that his contract end this year, I feel it's a lot more likely that he and the Panthers part ways next year. It's just a matter of whose decision it is (quite possibly mutual).

Don't be ridiculous. They'd win a few I'd those games. They dropped a poo ton of passes tonight. This game could easily be pretty lopsided. They certainly don't belong in the playoffs though.

I've tweaked a back muscle turning over in bed. (wish I was joking)

People have got to stop ranking these teams based on records. James Madison is 11-1, and if you let them play the 6 worst teams in the SEC, and the 6 worst teams in the Big 10 they'd be 0-12 and the average losing margin would be by 14+ points.

The Legette of this season just isn't producing. He's definitely got the physical ability, but there are a lot of plays where he looks like he's either screwing up or just half-assing it. Yes that's fixable, but they gotta know why it's happening and he has to be willing to make the effort to fix it.

I was never sure how much of that story to believe. Rhule had final say on roster decisions, so he could have overruled a decision if he wanted to.

WE ARE…PENN STATE
-
This has to go over like a lead balloon in Happy Valley. A coach that just went 5-4 in the Big 12 tied for 7th in the league and you get hired to coach Penn State? LOL
-
It could be done. You just have to have the proper support infrastructure underneath. Just take some engineering to carry thr load. I got bored one day and figured out how to do it from a landscaping perspective.
-
Haha. Penn State. Fires James Franklin, who went 104-45 and made 8 (5-3) appearances in NY6 bowl games, including winning 2 CFP games, out of the Big 10. Hires Matt Campbell, who went 72-55 and made 1 (1-0) appearance in NY6 bowl games, never a CFP participant, out of the Big 12. His win in the Fiesta Bowl was against Oregon who literally sat every starting skill position (including a young QB named Tyler Shough) for that game as it was the COVID year. I couldn't be happier for a school that did nothing about young children being molested by the football staff for decades. I hope they suck for the next 100 years.

No tight ends this time around. Trenches, ILB, if the right edge is there then you adjust. Talking about Young and thinking his standards are suddenly like 4-5 notches higher because of a couple of games is such a trap. He is like the 5 that shows up to the party with a couple of fat 2s. Don’t look too close.

They will almost certainly replace him with someone already on staff who is worse in everyway
