Nah, dude. The only one that's actually long in the tooth is Not on, and he ain't even done yet. If Icky can't come back, then Walker will be extended. Walker is after all a better pass defender. We're not necessarily at the point where we need to be drafting first rounders who would likely be sitting on the bench; day two or three guys that can be developed could fill that need.

Dan Morgan on Up & Adams About Bryce's Future
Daddy_Uncle replied to XClown1986's topic in Carolina Panthers
I thought that was Mina Kimes interviewing -
We haven’t used a first on the defense since Bryce was here. And only one 2nd. If you look at what went into the offense, just to get Bryce alone was a fortune, they still owe that defense. And if Icky had not have happened I would be posting in caps that we need to spend the 1st pick on the D. It kills me not to do it, but that injury shifted everything.

Our starting oline looks good on paper. Even that is a bit of a reach given the additions, age and injuries. Problem is when someone inevitably goes down we are going to relying on some dude named Stone to step in. The Icky injury and the timing of it really mess up the overall plan for this team. I like walker but only as a stop gap and hopefully he returns to prior form. We just are a team with no depth anywhere. Its kindof wild when you think about it

Most of what I see it would be nice to trade back a few slots and still get. I want to put the investment into the fronts though. That is where the game is controlled. People seem to want to make Bryce into a Stafford or something. Air Young. He is a game manager. People want to give him all this help, but if you really want to help him then build a team that can support a game manager. That means control the LOS, first order of business.

That flouts everything that free agency, a big board & BPA stands for. I could see if we were set at WR, which we aren't. I could see if Special Teams was set, which it ain't. XL was an apparent bust, and T-mac was a hit (I wonder why...). If I am skeptical about Dan Morgan and Dave Canales, I surely am not yet skeptical of Brandt Tilis. I think his addition and results alone should at least give the FA a little goodwill and some rope. Now whether Concepcion is worth a first (which I am highly skeptical about) is a totally different story.

2025 Draft Re-Grades (Or, One Idiot Doubles Down)
The NFL Shield At Midfield replied to Joe Bear's topic in Carolina Panthers
Oh yeah, that's the guy who still insists on calling the Commanders the "Redskins". I'm truly shocked by this dumbass take of his. Even if TMac only won OROTY "by default" because Egbuka tanked down the stretch, all that means is that if he hadn't, McMillan still would have been an immediate difference maker and one of the best offensive players to come out of the 2025 draft. -
On the surface it appears that way but I don't think it's this simple. Rivera had Gettleman and Hurney as GMs, McD had Beane the entire time. Allen's prime has lasted wayyy longer than Cam's did. And while Rivera's record in Washington looks awful, given the context of the dumpster fire they were under Snyder I think he did well there all things considered.

I used to appreciate the site up until a couple of years ago, when it seemed like his "sources" were becoming less and less reliable. Now the site is just pitiful. -
