  1. Past hour
  2. I agree. On the Mike Kaye podcast the other day he mentioned that people within the organization told him that Christensen had a very bad camp, whatever that means. They just signed him to that new contract and he always looked good on the actual field last year. I have no idea what they meant exactly by he had a very bad camp, but he should have been the 6th lineman the entire time until proven otherwise.
  3. If you're counting on it every 10 to 15 years then more power to you. In the meantime you will just have to settle for whoever is available in the draft for us to choose from. I'm guessing there will not be a generational qb in every draft going forward.
  4. So it isn’t impossible? lol I mean, the fact that teams have generational talents shows it’s not impossible
  5. And each time it was pure luck.
  6. Patrick Ramsey [insert Obi-Wan meme]
  7. Oh yes...and the fact that they all say it's gonna be the rams and Sean mccvay makes it even more crazy.
  8. Video discredited, OP roasted, thread over
  9. How’s it impossible when we’ve done it lol I don’t think you and @Jon Snowknow what impossible means
  10. Those are generational talents.Tough isn't the correct word here, think near impossible.
  11. Its a combination of things. Most of these kids are going to bad teams unprepared for the massive responsibility they are undertaking. College does not prepare them for that. In college the come into a program that is nearly always successful and they think they are the reason for that. The truth is they are just continuing there success by not playing like ass. When they get to the nfl they are expected to make an already bad team into a playoff powerhouse. Very few rookies can overcome that pressure without a really good coach who can put the right pieces around him to maximize any potential he may have. Not many young qb's can survive that and be successful. Its the nature of the beast called the nfl.
  12. I've still got to watch the second half to watch, but the first half those two plays were both really bad for different reasons. The ball behind TMac (that he still should have caught, you expect your top-10 WR to make that catch) was especially egregious not because Bryce threw it behind him, but why he threw it behind him. Some have suggested it was because TMac was supposed to settle instead of drift over but the all-22 shows Bryce hesitate to pull the trigger when he had the initial look before hurrying up and trying to get it out. He showed that a looooooot during the end of his rookie season after getting beat up behind the OL for an extended period. Seeing it already in weeks 3 + 4 is really, really bad. Can't be seeing ghosts to the point of messing up mechanics like that if you're the #1 overall guy in year 3 The throw into three defenders looked like those identical INTs to start years 1 + 2. Don't even need to point out how bad that is to see a third time.
  13. Deep throws are there. You insert a different QB and that QB just looks to execute them. We have seen that every year when Bryce gets benched. Datlon will push the D back and crank it 30 or 40+. Issue is Dalton is just washed.
  14. There is still a cult on Twitter. But their narrative now is that he will go to another team and become a star so they know he is just about done here.
  15. Part of me thinks that there’s not just a panthers issue with developing quarterbacks, it’s a league issue because all the top quarterbacks are from a whole different generation now when it comes to NFL life. College talent in general has been wonky since Covid and all the super seniors. Disconnect somewhere
  16. Yep I mean that’s what it comes down to. Analyzing this in a play-by-play manner doesn’t help (although I’ll still respect those who want to dig into that mess) When you have someone who inhibits the plays you can deploy, the concepts you can scheme in, it’s such a limiting factor and you won’t rise out of it until you try another guy at the spot. He limits the entire system down to physical, unchangeable traits… we are restricted in what we can run, and he can’t even run the limited playbook effectively. So that’s why I stopped bothering with play-by-play looks. It’s clear it’s the bigger infrastructural issue.
  17. Having a guy like that is desirable sure. But we will have to settle for competent until we stumble onto a guy like that.
  18. problem w/ the Phins and Jets games....is they have dynamic runners on the ground. Both teams got dudes that can take it to the house from 80 out
  19. Well, we’re talking about the panthers.
  20. There were times Zavala didn't even get touched and his guy flew around him. The play where Bryce threw it into the DL's facemask he got blasted by Zavala's assignment. Sucks too because Tremble was the right read over the middle. He looked outright overwhelmed like his rookie season all over again. It's very concerning seeing multiple players regress, especially on the offense. That's supposed to be Canales' wheelhouse.
  21. Every team that doesn't have a qb of that nature is looking for one. That's about 28 teams.
  22. Was listening to fan 99.9 this morning on YouTube, and the guy speaking was spot on with what Carolina needs. We have to have a qb that’s a program builder/changer. A qb that can come in and pretty much change the culture of the program. Man, we had that with Cam. For this thing to work, the panthers have to find a QB of that nature. A Cam, a Burrow, Allen, etc. It’s tough to find, but the panthers have to find that. I don’t trust Morgan to find that player though
  23. Folks have different opinions brother. Its okay to disagree now and then. I don't necessarily agree with him and as someone who was skeptical of him translating to the nfl I was willing to see it play out. I think that experiment has ran it's course and I need it to be over.
  24. He did a pretty good one last year I think. He does watch the film, at least I think it was him that said you can’t give a good take without doing that and plenty of guys were not watching film before giving their takes. I might be mistaking him for a different analyst. Much better version is for sure a relative term.
  25. you gotta think the locker room would fuging revolt at that idea "wait, that little dude is our qb for the next 2 years? Yeah no dawg get me out of here"
