  1. Past hour
  2. I could try and predict our future or I could just go straight to banging my head on the wall The plot of this franchise over the Tepper era has been like a bad movie.
  3. I agree we are a better team, I genuinely don't believe we are substantially better than last season but it is a step in the right direction, without any doubt. We just need to keep making sure the roster is continually improving each offseason. That's been a massive problem during the Tepper tenure. Almost every offseason has resulted in a worse roster than the year before. In fact, this may be the first time during his ownership that it actually improved.
  4. There are some decent options but mostly in the 30+ crowd that might be a little pricey. IMO, TE upgrade makes a little more sense through the draft IF you can see another TE class like the 2025 class. Evans has been better than I expected him to be but we REALLY whiffed on some serious weapons in that 2025 TE class. I don't expect this to be a priority for our FO at all. We just don't use TE's enough for them to target them, IMO. I think it would be a potentially big boost to the offense but I don't think it's something Dave Canales values, at all. All the more reason to get a real OC in here.
  5. I do genuinely feel like we're better this year than last year. I'd still prefer to move ahead with a sifferent quarterback, but I'm resigned to the reality that it's not gonna happen. Just gotta hope they're right about Bryce and we're wrong.
  6. From ass to the pimple on the right cheek
  7. Couple more things from last night... This is an absolute mess
  8. I think the OL is the position we should be in the best overall and really are. That's our best group outside of RB, although that will soon fall off dramatically with Dowdle likely leaving. That said, it's a group that should ALWAYS be adding assets in the draft to upgrade. IMO, I would rank our position groups(worst at the top): 1. ILB 2. QB 3. EDGE 4. TE 5. WR 6. DL 7. S 8. CB 9. K/P 10. OL 11. RB
  9. I like the idea of signing a vet TE vs drafting one. That room is really underwhelming and it would open up options and allow them to focus in the draft on the many other areas needing upgrades.
  10. This thread reminds of the November (Rams) prediction thread. Foretelling Stafford beating us seven ways to Sunday. Bottom line...no one knows especially this season. I channel the great Chris Berman here..... "That's.......why they play the games".
  11. Gilbert or Harold Goodwin? I know Gilbert is officially listed as the OL Coach but that was Goodwin's role last year before they gave him one of those goofy "Run Game Coordinator" titles. Far as I know, they're both coaching OL.
  12. IDK about what Bryce needs, per se. I posted up a thread with some utilization rates for Canales specifically, so I think there is legitimately a hard ceiling for TE impact in his offense. You think that WR grouping is? I think you forgot to finish your thought on the sidebar.
  13. Thought you were done with this conversation... (for the second or third time) Accusing someone else of gaslighting while pulling out selective stats is ironic enough, but given how you've done in this thread I'm not surprised. You haven't given a single substantive answer, you've dodged questions repeatedly, cut and paste the same stuff about half a dozen times, and for several pages now rather than actually throwing anything relevant out there as a counter, you've just stuck to attacking me. You've lost, dude. Probably best to go ahead and actually take that exit you keep saying you're going to take
  14. He is very much in line with his career averages almost across the board. He hasn't seen the endzone much but that is also probably a reflection of the fact that their overall passing TD's are down quite a bit(Baker at his lowest Passing TD's/GM in his Tampa career). I don't think he is gonna break the bank but it's probably going to be more than I would want to personally pay.
  15. Maybe but then again how sure can we be when the offense is held to such a level to function? I agree your probably right. I think extrem is oline, MLB and QB followed by Dline. The rest are 'should look anywhere to keep upgrading' type situation.
  16. Most impressive Bussi stat.... he has a .890 save % on high danger shots.
  17. I think he would just end up in a crowded TE room without the ability to really stand out. Tremble is a decent enough roster guy that makes sense for us because we have such heavy multiple TE utilization rates but realistically he is a JAG. Sanders is trending bust and Evans I still have some hope for, although he has fallen off recently. I don't think there is a single guy on the roster that cannot be upgraded over. I just don't think Mayer is an upgrade over really any of them. Probably a lateral movement at the very best.
  18. Oh, come on. That "career record" includes the first year disaster under Reich (actually under Tepper, but hey). But even if it didn't, a career win-loss record doesn't tell you how somebody is doing right now. That's basically like saying you can't judge by his performance against the Rams because he looked terrible in week one.
  19. As much as I wish it were different, our TE room is a bunch of nobodies. Don't mean to slam them, but as a group they've been pretty lackluster and none of them has managed to push themselves to the forefront of a rather easy batch of competitors. I mean, really. Tommy Tremble has been the leader for most parts but he's putting up second string, maybe third string vibes. We definitely need to work on this.
  20. Well the people in charge thought they addressed that but are being proved wrong. Now it's a hope of development thing moving forward. Burns wouldn't have that production here either this year. He only produced 1 year in his total time here like is for them this year. They also put more effort i to stopping the run vs rushing too.
  21. Elite TE is what a Bryce Young QB needs--we get little out of that position. Furthermore, our OL, the highest paid in the league, is ranked somewhere in the middle. Personally, I think TMac, Coker, Legette (to me, he just does not understand the position like he should--he plays a bit slow, does not feel the sidelines, and his route running is not great but has been improving.--still...)
  22. An argument can even be made that Bryce has shown more personal improvement in his tenure here than Canales. I can’t name a single thing about DC that has improved.
  23. I really don’t think Otton’s price tag will be overly high this offseason. He’s had a down year
  24. If possible we should look at Mayer out of Vegas. He's disappeared behind Bowers. I wouldn't spend a lot but it was rumored he was on the block earlier this year.
