Former Panthers QB Cam Newton to be throwing at Auburn's Pro Day

Making “a scene”? Because the guy post some of his workouts and believes in himself? Lol -

Think you’re jumping the gun a bit bro. It’s exciting times for us diehards but Reich isn’t Vince Lombardi. Most people are just happy to be past the Rhule era and have the top pick again. Cam transcended football for a bit in 2015. Had white kids across the country doing the dab. We’re not quite there yet. -

You make it sound like he's a locker room cancer. Truth is he's just too popular. He's an icon to younger players and everyone knows what's he capable of, so no matter how he behaves there's no flying under the radar for Cam especially on a QB needy team. We saw it happen here. I do think when his shoulder's healthy he's better than a number of starters in the league but as you said, how many games can it realistically hold up for? I am a little surprised no one is kicking the tires when Rhule clearly misused him. -

Processing, leadership, and making calls at the line are all things that Young specifically has been praised to death on and more than everyone else. Y’all are going crazy. Maybe it is smoke but they’re definitely hinting at Bryce. -

The Russel talk could be a smokescreen still but this is as close to a no on Anthony Richardson as it gets without saying it outright. -

Cross from Lindsey was gorgeous. Never bench him and Vargas again. Jones did work too. Copetti is a bad man. Really want to see two strikers up top more but this was a critical win -

Lineup vs Orlando the back line looks good, I like Vargas starting on wing and Bronic back to midfield, but benching Swid? Also why does Lattanzio hate Nunos. -
MJ in talks to sell majority stake of Hornets

This fanbase is in for a rude awakening if we expect some rando suits to care more about winning basketball games than Michael Jordan. -
Normally I'd be all over it but Odell's too big of a personality to bring in when we're trying to give a rookie QB the reigns.

Acting like we wanted to get rid of him and he wasn't valued here ain't exactly the high road in my book. He's taking it way better than DWill and Benjamin atleast.

Why Bryce young will be the pick and we should be excited
MechaZain replied to RIPTreyLance's topic in Carolina Panthers
Wilson also has some of the largest hands in the league at 10.25. Everyone said Cam's rushing was going to get him hurt and it was hits in the pocket that crippled him. There's too many factors at play to just make conclusions on these guys based on their measurables. It's about how they play. -
Not sure if DJ noticed but we need a QB

I get the thought process but everytime stats are brought into it they don't correlate with what everyone keeps assuming. Like if anything it's the taller guys who tend to get their passes batted. Probably because unlike a short QB, they've never had put as much thought or work into their verticle placement so they get lazy at times. Would things have been easier for Steve Smith if he was six inches taller? Sure, but it was never a problem because he worked with what God gave him and overcame the disadvantage by being great. Young's height is part of his game for better or worse and he's the top prospect anyway. He's already overcome it and we're still acting like he's going to get every other pass batted down. Pros aren't that much taller than college players. -

Frame concerns are valid I'm but tired of hearing about height. Been proven time and time again here that it doesn't matter. -

Big “careful what you wish for” energy. -
I doubt we’ll ever get the full story. If Young’s the pick I’m probably off base. Stroud I believe is one of the two finalists.
-
They’re definitely doing controlled leaks. I just don’t see a point in the trade down smokescreen if we really are down to the top 2 QBs.
-
I don’t believe it’s between Young and Stroud. I don’t think they’d publicly entertain a trade down if it was. They would just talk to Houston, Arizona, and Indy in private. They traded up because AR and/or Levis was the target and they feared that all four QBs would be gone by 9. #5 wouldn’t be enough to insure their guy, and per Breer #3 cost as much as #1 because Chi wanted DJ. Now we control our own destiny and there’s no way we miss out on a QB. Everyone’s going to freak if its AR or Levis because “we could have stayed put at 9” but based on how they’re moving I don’t think the folks on staff agree. Missing out on a top QB was their worst case scenario and this was the only way they could insure that wouldn’t happen.
