  1. This will be interesting. Always thought he wasn't given a real chance. I hope he performs well. Wouldn't be the first time an unknown QB comes from nowhere to have a career in the NFL.
  2. An 8 team league combined from the USFL and XFL. I was surprised to see that there were only 8 teams. I assume that they took the best teams based on attendance to create this new league. This is pretty much the minor leagues of football. Minor league is better than nothing. It will be interesting to see what players shine and get a chance to hook-up with an NFL team after the season is complete.
  3. We've spent 5 years of subpar football. We have a young GM and Coach both who seem to be on the same page. I get your pessimism but if our defense can keep it close. I think this year's offense is only going upwards. It will depend on Young.
  4. On this team he will be fed regularly. Outside of Theilen we didn't have any WRs that could consistently get open. What excites me the most is how he has been labeled as one of the best route runners in the league.
  5. If we were somehow able to land Gilmore and Clowney I think it would be extremely hard not to get excited about the upcoming season. Evero would have many players, not only in the starting lineup but in backup roles, that could make this defense an exciting unit. If our offense can put some points on the board, we could be a surprise team in 2024. Houston did it, why not us.
  6. Our offensive line has to be elite. I think Morgan has done a good job, at least on paper, of giving us a great offensive line. If our RBs can run through this line than it is going to make it much easier for Young to pass the ball when needed. I think D. Johnson is going to have a monster year with this offense. Even if we draft a rookie WR he will be the #1 target for Young. There are several additions to this team that could be busts or they could be great. This first group of free agents will define Morgan going forward. I have always been optimistic and believe most of these guys will perform well. We'll see but if we can put a competitive team on the field, regardless of our final record, I will be happy going forward.
  7. I was fooling around with an NFL Mock draft simulator and couldn't find anyone to trade their 1st round pick but since I was already there, I did a mock draft and traded down several times. The outcome was nice at least IMO. Check it Out
  8. I would definitely consider moving down a couple of spots for some extra draft capital. As many have said here before 33 usually grabs a 1st round graded player. If there was a team that thought this player could make an impact, they MIGHT come off of a 2025 1st. Agreed it is a long shot, but you never know how sold a GM is on a player and what they might give up to get him especially if they consider themselves a Super Bowl contender.
  9. This pick is usually a very hot commodity and often traded. We are not ready to contend in 2024. I would very much consider taking a 2025 1st round pick for this draft choice. We will certainly get offers from other teams. Would you take a 1st in 2025 for #33 and maybe a late rounder pick in 2024. Plus, with such a deep WR class we would certainly still be able to pick a quality WR.
  10. If Sam gets in a stable organization, he is going to play much better than the mess in Washington. Washington is obviously selecting a QB so moving Howell was a smart move. IMO Howell will prove he's an NFL starting QB.
  11. Offensively TMJ and Mingo - Both are big receivers who need to run better routes. Corbett - Moving from Guard to Center and doing well would give us a pretty stout line. Sanders - We paid him alot of money and he remains on the team so hopefully Canales's offense will make him worth them money. Anyone from the TE room. We only cut Hurst so someone has to step up. I can only assume that Canales's main usage of the TE will be for blocking as I don't really see a great pass catching TE. Defensively Shaq needs to live up to his role as the Team Captain and be the example of the Dawg mentality Morgan wants. Free Agents All of them need to be better than what they were with their other teams with the exception or our two Guards. The two that played for Evero before should lead the way.
  12. Morgan was an elite MLB. If he had had a full career who knows where he would have stood. I don't think we make SB 38 without him. I do believe his playing days will help find those "Luvu" type of players. Especially defensively. Our defensive players we've sign this off-season makes me feel those are young hungry guys looking to get their careers rebooted. I also believe Evero is 100% on board. I believe 2 of our signees are former players of his. Hit or miss I think he's poking in the right direction.
  13. Those numbers go down each day he isn't signed.
  14. At one point I saw where we would be interested in Ogbah. What's the take on him?
  15. IMO the greatest thing I like about signing Johnson is that he is considered one of the best route runners in the league. For Bryce Young this is huge. He now has Theilen and Johnson. Hopefully, he can help with Mingo and TMJ and get them to be better route runners.
  16. Below is the list of available DEs. Some of these guys are at the end of their careers. A one year deal might help us fill a void until we can get some fresh talent onboard. Any of these players interest you?
  17. Exactly. You have to take into account who we signed with that extra money as part of this trade. If we add three or four good players from the money we saved those assets should be considered part of the trade.
  18. Most definitely. When Chase went to SF he did very little for them after the trade. I don't know whether the injury he suffered affected his play or he is just washed up. Low salary, good deal. High Salary, No Way,.
  19. Agreed. Rather have two young studs who can mesh with Young than Higgins. Especially since we have no idea how well he'll work with Young.
  20. Especially since this draft is deep in WR. Rather have 2 young stars on rookie deals that to deal with Higgins. Isn't he a Primadona? Someone who complains if he doesn't get the ball. I'm asking.
