  1. I did, had a great time watching the classic Christmas Vacation with the fam. What’s your point? I’m not able to watch the highlights and look at the stats after the game
  2. I doubt it because the Bucs would play in prime time two weeks in a row and that’s a lot of screen time for the same team with a small fanbase and a losing record, Brady or not.
  3. He’s basically injury prone Chris Gamble
  4. Baby steps That’s a formula for a lot of QBs to win in the NFL. Most have a system built around them that elevate their strengths and minimize their weaknesses. Maybe you’ve forgotten what the Patriots offense looked like in the early to mid 2000s with Brady? Super run heavy with Brady not needing to do a ton every game. Sure he was clutch, but it’s the same concept. I’m not over here saying Darnold is the answer, but it’s encouraging he has been able to show some progress.
  5. This is true but Darnold has improved on not making crippling mistakes. He’s elevated himself to quality backup and maybe bridge starter with his performances. If he wins another 2 games in a row and puts up a fight against the Cowboys in the playoffs he definitely deserves to be back next season.
  6. I am 100% behind keeping Darnold as the long term backup and potential starter to bridge the gap for a rookie QB. They have to draft a QB next year.
  7. Zero chance the Panthers win this game. Turned it off and watching a Christmas movie. Can’t spend any more time watching these overpaid garbage losers play like pussies.
  8. Watching the defense the past few weeks….there is ZERO reason to keep Wilks.
  9. Corral isn’t even as athletic as Zach Wilson. Wilson was just a bad prospect. Very overhyped due to the pre draft process and some big throws he made against sh*t opponents in college. I thought his ceiling was Mitch Trubisky but he’s even worse than that. Jury is still out on most of these guys but I feel like I was close on my assessments of the 2021 class!
  10. I mean sure there was vitriol towards Rivera the coach and lots of it was valid. But as a man, Rivera has always been class. Can’t say the same for Rhule.
  11. Yea I think you’d be hard pressed to find a single Panthers fan who has ill feelings towards Ron Rivera. He is a quality human being who is just a frustratingly stubborn head coach. Matt Rhule on the other hand, yowza. If he just kept his mouth shut I think most Panthers fans would have just moved on. But holy hell on a stick, Matt has some wild cognitive dissonance going on. His media tour highlighted a narcissist toad who genuinely believes his own hype. He hasn’t uttered a shred of accountability or humbleness despite his incredible failure on the Panthers, which means he didn’t learn anything from his experience. He will continue to make the same mistakes he has made at all of his previous jobs and eventually it’ll catch up to him.
  12. I mean I kind of agree except for that atrocious media tour he went on where he gaslit the entire fanbase and said if he could do one thing differently he wouldn’t take the job. Guy just sucks at his core but whatever I’m glad he’s gone too
  13. Matt Rhule has been posting up a storm on Twitter lately. The comments sections are a lot of fun. I recommend reading through some of them! Panthers fans have been roasting him and Nebraska fans, who seem to have fully gotten behind their new coach despite the trail of disaster he left in Charlotte, have been coming to his defense. No, Rhule did nothing wrong on the Panthers, per these hilariously naive Nebraska fans. It is the Panthers who are trash. Despite the fact the previous two head coaches before Matt Rhule had winning records, and took the team to the Super Bowl, Matt Rhule is not to blame. He is a golden god, and the Panthers are the sorry people. I guess these corn-fed bumpkins are so desperate for any kind of success they are willing to overlook the fact Matt Rhule’s Baylor teams never beat a ranked team in his time as head coach. The record wasn’t any better at Temple. Oh well, I’ve got my popcorn ready for when he screws up Nebraska even more and they ultimately turn on him. His schtick is kind of endearing if he was a good coach. It’s infuriating when he sucks.
  14. I like Steve Wilks but I really don’t care which coach the players want. Most of them won’t be here in 3 years let alone next year.
  15. It’s a no brainer IMO. But, will depend on the next coaching staff obviously.
  16. Just getting the team back to competing every 2-3 seasons would be an improvement
  17. All Wilks has done is return the Panthers to Ron Rivera era competency, which is in my opinion the absolute bare minimum amount of acceptability to be an NFL head coach. Wilks isn’t an unqualified embarrassment like Matt Rhule. And the fact that Wilks has accomplished what he has with a limited roster and remnants of Rhule’s coaching staff is the biggest reason to support him. But I don’t support merely going back to Ron Rivera era football. The QB situation is a mess and there’s not a prospect like Cam Newton that can come in and run a read-option offense right away. The team needs a QB developer at head coach. Shane Steichen is at the top of my list. Frank Reich definitely needs to get an interview. I wouldn’t completely count Wilks out, but I think we’re selling ourselves short by keeping him as well.
  18. I have also heard from multiple sources he's playing hurt this year. I'm not sure putting Cameron Erving in his spot would be any better.
  19. Would you say the roster was in better shape in 2001 and 2010? There were almost the same amount of assets on the roster in 2019 as there is now! The defense is marginally more talented but it's really the same!
  20. Wilks merely returned the team to a minimum level of NFL competency whereas before the Panthers were below the NFL standard with an unqualified and overmatched college head coach. That to me is not good enough to warrant getting the job. I still think Wilks should get an interview but they have to consider other candidates and make an informed decision. After yesterdays horrendous defensive performance, I’m not thrilled to keep Wilks.
  21. Trending trash, maybe. But it’s not like John Fox and Ron Rivera inherited ideal situations either. Fox inherited a 1-15 team and Rivera inherited a 2-14 team. Rhule by contrast inherited a team that was 2 seasons removed from a playoff appearance.
  22. I do disagree with how bad the team was when he bought it. He bought a 11-5 wildcard playoff team. The main f*ck up has been the QB and head coach, which are obviously the most important positions on the team. But saying the Panthers were trash when he bought them is incorrect.
