  1. Tommy DeVito is improving weekly and the other QBs are showing signs of life. Man, this isn’t good. Part of me still believes Tepper is trying to go full Rachel Phelps from Major League here.
  2. Yeah - couldn’t believe it when I read it either. McDermott isn’t the guy you want making decisions in critical situations. And then you see this…Dunne said 7 different sources confirmed this lunacy.
  3. Tepper will probably make SC residents pay double if they purchase a ticket to training camp.
  4. I think this is worse - and I still don’t believe we are close to rock bottom. The abyss has no pronounced depth.
  5. From Person & Russini: https://theathletic.com/5105215/2023/12/06/carolina-panthers-frank-reich-firing-david-tepper/
  6. Everything the organization does screams “we’re the smartest people in this league” and clearly their amongst the dumbest.
  7. The thing that bothers me most about the way the organization has operated since Tepper has taken over is that every move screams "we're smarter than you and we know it." The arrogance that's in the building for an organization that's 30-63 since Tepper bought the team is astounding. Whether it's trading up for DJ Johnson, taking a long snapper, paying a RB, etc - they're clueless. If this disaster hasn't shown he clearly isn't smart at this football thing, then this franchise is going to continue to lose at an alarming rate.
  8. On his GM Shuffle podcast yesterday, Mike Lombardi spent the first 20 minutes of the show talking about advice he would give to Dave Tepper. I think there's some good insight here. I linked the show below at the moment they start discussing the Panthers. I'll let everyone draw their own conclusions/thoughts from this but wanted to post. The video might not embed here, so if you go to YouTube to watch, it starts at the 2:47 mark.
  9. Give me people that will prioritize and make serious investments into the lines of scrimmage like DAL & to @TheBigKat’s suggestion like Philadelphia. Carolina has only taken 3 OL in the top 3 rounds since 2019. Part of that though likely revolves around this organization’s inability to properly scout personnel.
  10. This is definitely my concern. I know the right hires/luck can instantly turn it around but there is zero evidence that the Tepper’s have the slightest clue of what they’re doing. Even Dan Snyder lucked his way into some winning seasons. I don’t think Tepper is capable of it.
  11. I don’t think we’ve seen rock bottom yet under this Bozo.
  12. Can understand this sentiment since he was just hired. But I feel that a complete reset is required in that front office. This has been a collective failure. Nobody should be retained based on how badly every move turned out. I don’t think any sound process was used in terms of film evaluation, free agency, etc. This is just my two cents, the only thing I believe though is that whatever Tepper does, it’ll likely turn out wrong or awful.
  13. If ANY part of this front office is retained …that’s bad news.
  14. Starting to believe he’s recreating the plot of Major League. Make the team so bad everybody quits to move them elsewhere.
  15. Not just the NFL - he’s one of the worst owners in ALL organized team sports. He’s just like Jordan Belfort, a conman.
  16. The answer is yes. We saw what Daniel Snyder did to Washington and it’s happening here. Tepper will destroy this organization quicker than Snyder did Washington.
  17. Appreciate the information! I’m a legit first timer so I probably won’t do traditional smoking for a bit. I’ll definitely look into the thermometer. First cook will be a pork butt Saturday. Doing the first burn tonight. I think I’ve got everything else taken care of.
  18. First timer here. I got the Traeger 575 pro & will use it for the first time this weekend. I’ve never smoked anything before so I’m a bit anxious. Question: would you recommend getting a fire board thermometer? Anything else you suggest accessory wise that a beginner should have?
  19. Tyler Dunne runs it - he's a respected long form writer. He brought on McGinn recently. Based out of Buffalo.
  20. Fair or not: you must take into account the surrounding environment in your evaluation. Stroud's WR's/OL is by far the best in the nation. Look at what Ohio State has produced from the WR position in recent years, no other school can really compare. When your WR's are that elite, I think it hinders a QB's ability to transition to the next level in terms of processing and timing. This isn't to say it cannot be learned. People get irate with me when I mention Fields, but look at the stats. He struggles to process. In the NFL, you're not going to be stacked at every position like you can be in college. QBs must lift their surrounding talent. That's what separates the tiers.
  21. You never know with this stuff but this is a processing test. Look at the failed Ohio State QBs in the NFL - they haven't been able to process as passers. I've long said that you have to wonder if QBs with elite skill level talent in college can adjust to what open windows actually are in the NFL. Look at what Ohio State has produced at the WR spot, it's absurd. QB's job isn't hard when they've got studs like Harrison, Olave, Wilson, etc.
  22. I'm not sure if the 49ers believe in Lance at this point. Purdy may or may not be ready to start the season. I imagine they bring in someone else. Also, Lombardi 2/2 from what he said last week on his podcast.
