XL definitely has the talent to breakout and I think now with multiple weapons on offense it will open things up for him. We ALL know what he has to fix......drops. XL has to get better at that no question. If he can then skys the limit and I know I'm excited to see XL and Mac daddy in Panthers uniforms for years.

Lord knows the US court/judicial system always gets it right..... Ray Rice is perfect example of the justice system failing victims (MOSTLY women) of violent often sexual crimes no recourse. Why? Look how tough sometimes short yardage situations can be for teams to get in the NFL. The Eagles or other large body QBs have no problem picking it up. Not being able to QB sneak can completely change game plans, making it much harder to be unpredictable as an offense. Go ask Eagle fans if they care about having a QB n oline that can almost guarantee a 3rd or 4th and 1 AUTOMATIC Game changer type ish

I am actually really excited about this kid. One thing that really jumped off watching his highlights was he almost is too fast or almost over pursues. You can get away with that stuff in college but the NFL these guys are stronger and more "slippery". Little things that can be corrected but he seems to have a motor which is always a plus!

BY is nowhere near the QB that Purdy is. I'm not saying Purdy is other worldly talent but he's a way better NFL QB than BY is at this point and I don't think it's close

Agreed I think confidence is a big part of a players ability. Confindence in scheme, teammates and even himself. So I am cautiously optimistic but still MUCH MUCH more to prove to be the long term answer.

I know most people here are sold on BY after those few decent games he had. I am not This year he has weapons, he has an oline, he has a good play caller, so this really is make or break year imo

All good points but our depth behind Horn (who notoriously gets hurt) is horrendous.....I guess DM is gambling on our rush putting enough pressure on QB to help with inadequate depth/talent on the back end of our defense
