You don’t get calls without having a marquee player or players. We’ve got zero of those. Teams like the Browns and now Panthers aren’t in the cellar consistently due to organizational failures alone. The league wants the star players and more popular teams in contention for longer.

Had this conversation in the Sanders thread(s) this week… You want to get some calls? Get some attention on this team, doesn’t matter if good or bad. Irrelevancy gets you no calls. It’s multiple reasons why the Browns, Jets, and now Panthers are the cellar dwellers. But the combination of relevancy and officiating does play a part.

Maybe we’ll get some Deejay Dallas action this week, he was a good looking lil player in college when they moved him from WR to RB for like 2 games and then they put 20 pounds of fat on him. He does have Wildcat experience tho. Maybe we can do that instead of Bryce on Sunday.

I’m not sure that many of you have accepted how bad this is. I would be happier to sit back and watch a rotation of Uncle Rico, Shane Falco, Jonathan Moxon, Ronnie Bass, and Paul Crewe play QB for the rest of the year vs watching Bryce take another snap. I’d trade for them too. It’s over, it’s fuging done. We are fuging done. There is no way to out clown show what we have today.

I don’t know what his talent level is. He had no blocking and a great WR to bail him out in college. But I think he believes in himself. Does Bryce Young? Does Andy Dalton? Will the next guy?

The real truth in this whole deal is…. You could not take Sanders unless you had absolutely nothing at QB on your roster. Media circus is too bad as a backup. Media could give too much attention and your starter would constantly be looking over his shoulder. Bryce would have pissed his pants on draft weekend if we made that move. Hindsight is if your QB is that fragile, he can’t be your QB anyway and now we have confirmed we have nothing at QB. Let’s give him a shot. No I can’t. There was a play Sunday, Nic Scourton almost had the ball carrier but couldn’t quite get there. But he ran them all the way over by the sideline, it took 5 business days. Trevin Wallace was nowhere to be found. Any NFL caliber linebacker is there and stops that for a 2 yard gain max. It went for a shitload, I’m still fuging distraught at that play.
