The analysts are retards. The top 5 ranked “tight ends” have almost no inline TE snaps. They are lined up in slot or the backfield every play. Half of Sadiq’s pedestrian 500 yards came from wheel routes out of the backfield. He’s not going to be able to loop around the LB like that in the NFL on a consistent basis. He’s a great athlete. I don’t think he’ll make a great NFL TE. Watch the film, wheel routes out of the backfield and straight down the seam out of the slot, zero technical TE routes. Then put his stat line against Tyler Warren and say with a straight face you are looking at 2 first round TE.

The FS/SS roles are outdated. Most teams play a lot of two high robber concepts to try and trick the offenses. I mean you can’t trot out two Laron Landry’s, but the common theme nowadays is to have two well rounded guys back there.

Ashawn was our 2nd best DL and played a lot of nose tackle for us last year. It’s a guarantee we spend an early pick on DT.

Kayden McDonald was 5th on the Buckeyes with 65 tackles. His ability to take on blocks and locate the football is elite for the position

These “tight ends” don’t really play tight end Sadiq has like 0 catches as an inline tight end. They did a ton of HBack Screens and wheel routes and then they lined him up in the slot to run a straight line past the LB and dropped it in to him. There’s no refined tight end routes with a release off the line. Same with Stowers, you’re looking at super athletic Tommy Tremble’s. Don’t get tricked, watch the tape.

The Phillips deal was bold, but absolutely a move that we had to make. We’ve tried to fix our pass rush with Vikings rejects for 5 years. We weren’t going farther in 2026 without an instant improvement in the rush. No brainers for the rest of the signings. The major holes are filled. Time to BPA the draft.

Im dead serious, but right now, for realistic options I’d take Freeling then Proctor if available at 19 as the guys I want. But he absolutely needs to play at least 20 pounds less than he did at Bama. Scourton lost that much, it’s not an indictment and teams will want that.

Rueben Bain lifted Miller significantly off the ground with one arm when Bain was a Freshman. I have a hard time letting that go. Was some real little boy type poo.

Stowers 2024 tape had virtually no in line tight end. All Hback and slot. I haven’t watched his 2025 yet, but scheme fit is going to play into his stock.
