  1. After baker tackled his own guy, us using him as DE on scout team makes more sense.
  2. I knew we should have drafted Aquaman when we had the chance - he'd be decent in this weather.
  3. Not so sure. We can't tackle Irving and Rico been going down as soon as he gets tagged with two hands.
  4. Evidently. Tampa didn;t do tape study to know we can't stop 3rd and long
  5. Mayfield tackles back behind line - hope we were paying attention
  6. Another chance to tackle and get off field but we don't stop first down
  7. I'm sure itb was a mirage but looked like we tackled "super Bucky" in the backfield
  8. Mayfield has enough time to do his taxes while surveying for open WR
  9. Can't tackle Bucky Irvin. Tez Johnson @ 165 lbs. pushing defenders back before going down. We're softest team in league
  10. Who would have thought that Legette would run a lazy route and end our first drive? Hope the possum sandwich business works out because he's definitely working his way out of the dependable receiver rotation.
  11. No sign of resistance from the D - if they don't fix it then it's a long day. Bucky Irvin looks like Earl Campbell, Reminds me of my confusion as to why teams are interested in Evero.
  12. Bucs getting several yards before contact - if that's not fixed we best get our Falcons gear out and hope someone can help us accomplish something we can't do ourselves.
  13. Likely irrelevant. Bryce may be due for a decent game but even if he pulls that off we still have to overcome poor in game adjustments, erratic bench decisions for timeouts/challenges, etc. My guess would be that we play the Bucs close and feel like we could/should have won but some of the same things that have plagued us all year will keep us from breaking .500. Then, the Saints will complete their string on mainly only winning games that cause us grief. Bryce will likely have a decent enough game that we go with him again next year and then have a 2026 repeat of close to .500 record but unable to move forward to playoffs because we shoot ourselves in the foot. If I had to "second guess" it would be that Tampa, like other teams have, will push us all over the field and it will never be close. That may allow us to take a more careful look at the future but won't help us this year.
  14. If you include the coaching staff, I think this team is our "dunce" since inception. My opinion would include the times the running game was shut down - not by opponents, but by our staff. I would add in careless use of timeouts, ridiculous penalties in some of the losses (do we ever practice lining up onsides?), and especially when we showed our defense to the Saints in plenty of time for them to make an adjustment during the Timeout and call a play to defeat the scheme.
  15. I'd probably say yes - primarily because when Burns messed up he just overran the QB again - he missed making a game changing play. Horn - at least the last few games - has really hurt us with penalties, dropped INT, and getting beat regularly when the other team needed a first down or a score.
  16. To me, every time he's around the ball it is an adventure. Will he catch it? Juggle then catch? Drop it? Will he get YAC? I thought he was supposed to be a man's man but he goes down like it's two hand tag. I'm afraid he'll run too far out of bounds, hit a cheerleader, then be on IR for a while. Seems like a great guy, someone you'd want to be around - he plays that way too - I think he's having a great time and chooses enjoyment over winning.
  17. I don't think it's so much blaming the loss on him for me as much as it's realizing at his very best he could only take us so far
  18. Would you call him a super processor? It would be nice to have at least one of those in the organization.
  19. I almost always watch the games, even if I record and watch later. Was caught out of town, driving home and listened to the radio broadcast last night. Forgive me if these themes have already been mentioned, but here are the themes I heard. FYI - it seemed to me that even while we still had the lead, the guys in the booth felt like we were squandering the game. 1. On the last play before the QB run, flop and penalty; during the timeout the crew noted we were going with mostly DB, only a couple of linemen. Then they said -oh, oh - we showed that too early and the Saints had a chance to see and change their play - obvious coaching error. 2. Luke (I believe) kept noting how the D wasn't ready, didn't have hands in the dirt, etc. - coaching and players. Especially on the drive where they moved almost without resistance. He sounded like he was ready to go tackle someone since the Defense was being so obliging. 3. Sounded a lot like Jaycee was transformed from shutdown corner into the guy they targeted specifically - it does seem like he's making plenty of highlights for the wrong reason. 4. Noted that Icky was just manhandled and tossed into Bryce - not speed rush, sweet move, just bullied like a child. Sounds like the kind of guy we need to open the bank for - he has a habit of folding at the worst times. 5. Noted the holding call on Moton was bogus - unless ref shared wrong #. 6. The Anish guy - good voice and pretty good play by play. However, every once in a while, he has to make some obscure reference or use a word he thinks people don't know because he seems more interested in sounding smart than delivering the game to a fan. Not as bad as Mixon but enough to make him seem like a nerdy guy who gets to do football instead of a fan and expert that wants to help listeners to be able to "see" the game. Just annoying and unnecessary.
  20. In the first game, I felt like they pushed us around whenever they wanted. If our guys don't fight in the trenches, probably doesn't matter what Bryce, Rico or Chuba can do, won't be enough to overcome being bullied.
  21. Cowherd is easy to dislike but he's dead on in this case.
