  1. From what I heard, we are taking him with #1 pick - these last 2 hours are just a smokescreen
  2. Not because they take an undersized player. Not the award for taking the largest party/batallion to pro days. The networks will likely discuss the Panthers more tomorrow than in future drafts combined but most importantly won't go to commercial or Mel Kiper's hairstyling techniques during our pick and return from commercial with a 4 second clip and immediately shift to who the Coboys will select 14 players later. It will be a nice change of pace.
  3. We can protect 4 players on praxtice squad. https://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2022/8/30/23328790/nfl-practice-squad-rules-pay-roster-limit
  4. I don't think CJ measures up to Awrence - no way CJ could throw fourinterceptions in a half. With that nonsense out of the way - I've heard several analysts say they believe Lawrence is the real deal and only getting better. The draft is such a speculative game. Watching the last player taken lead a team through the playoffs should confirm that - or picks like Mayfield and Darnold struggling. I recall people saying Herbert was going to stay near home because he was fragile and also he was a product of a system being the key. He fought through a tough injury and keeps proving experts wrong. I hope that after we do our homewor we also get the bit of luck that in guessing correctly and settle the position for the next several yaers.
  5. Chicken tenders and chocolate milk and complain when I couldn't find the toy . . .
  6. Maybe we could start a "should we trade for Carr" thread?
  7. Since Holcomb has signed with the Bills and not on 49ers staff with Wilks, it appears that we weren't the only ones not interested in having him . . .
  8. You think they would notice that the 49'ers trotting out 2 ceramic figurines at QB didn't work out so well . . .
  9. Not gonna lie - I first read the topic as the Panthers choosing their favorite brand of jeans and thought maybe Jerry Richardson was dropping by for visits. . .
  10. If we signed him the Huddle would need to ban: 1) Every 18 and under male posting from Mommy's basement 2) People who were fixated on anatomy over football 3)Individuals who need to tie almost every post to body functions or sex acts That would definitely decrease bandwidth costs for the platform . . .
  11. He's shipping the trophy out today.
  12. The Rams should have added even more value to their ridiculous attempt to jettison more picks so they could have obtained a flashy yet overrated player.
  13. If Wilks shares his attorney's opinion, it will change my view of him. He lost out to a coach with more experience with a better record and he feels like he was cheated? I get being very disappointed but he faded at the end and flaws were becoming evident. In many ways, Tepper would have "looked better" if he stayed with Wilkds but he felt the team was better with Reich. To me, this type of attitude won't help minority coaches get hired quicker, it will atually hurt them.
  14. Glad it's worked out for him. He was a good teammate, worked hard and made headlines for the right reasons.
  15. Gotta wonder if Bozdeman snapping the ball when least expected didn't ding him a bit.
  16. Nepotism is not the correct term for hiring your wife. The correct term is survival.
  17. Sam had a rough game but has not yet mastered throwing through completely covered receivers to move the chains. But I agree, we need to move on.
  18. Rumor has it we have our eye on trading down 5 picks or less to be sure we can still get a generational long snapper.
  19. Then I hope Stroud can connect with fully covered receivers.
  20. According to IB Journo, Harbaugh's people contacted Roger Goodell and said he had interest in running the entire league but was willing to settle for full control, which is substantially less power than the current commissioner has had.
  21. I'd take Reich or Caldwell and a couple of the young OC instead.
  22. My guess: Harbaugh kept shouting "go team" while Tepper was asking him about favorite meatball recipes. Harbaugh asked for total control, including one day a month when he worked at a DMV and told everyone they had the wrong paperwork and made them run laps around the office. Harbaugh kept saying "there's something on your desk I must have" and smiled in a way that even Tepper found to be creepy.
