Unless Tepper has done some deep digging and has good reason to believe this scandal is a nothing burger, I want no part of it. It’s sets a bad example and reeks of desperation. Character should matter. If there’s any credibility to these stories then it sends a wrong message to the fans. I also feel it will cost us too much. We have some serious home grown blue chip players emerging. And we’ll just make more holes to fill in trading them. Love the talent, and if the allegations are all BS then by all means trade for him. But I don’t see how we win if he gets charged and or banned from playing.

Watson would be a horrible PR move and gut the team of talent we need to keep.

Honestly Kyle has had better moments than Sam at this point. Kyle isn’t that bad though he just doesn’t have the size and physical talent. Heineke was is pretty solid but you can tell he’s one play away from IR

Not disputing that at all at this point. His overall game was terrible but the final drive from last week was the best thing we’ve seen him do and I think that was just him being forced to sling it without thinking. Maybe those were the kind of throws that gave Rhule hope about him.

He has great arm talent that’s about it at this point. He can’t take advantage of it though because of his nerves and slow progression through his reads. It’s not all his fault but he’s showing that he’s not the type that can elevate the team.

I have no doubt if we had CMC and Horn we would be looking at 5-2. But today was a huge loss in spirit and I don’t think the guys are playing as hard anymore. I know that’s speculation but we only put up 3 points against what was the worst team in the NFL. Just seems like Rhule and the staff bought into their own hype and thought confidence was enough to get over some of the adversity we’ve faced.

His interception and short throw misses were inexcusable though. He’s making mistakes that a scared highschool QB makes. He’s a professional athlete. There’s only so much coddling we can do for him. If he can’t lead the team then he’s no good to us. I’ll admit he gave me a lot of hope off his last drive last week but he just doesn’t provide any consistency at all.

Darnold just requires far too much coddling for where we are as a team right now. He’s in his 3rd or 4th year now . We have to be able to see something from him. He’s not a rookie.

They absolutely did Cam dirty. He deserved a shot with the new coach. And if we sucked we would have been in position to draft a QB. But we wasted last year with a phantom QB in Teddy Bridgewater and then Sam Darnold. Cam looked 10 times better in preseason than anything we’ve had since he left.
