  1. Dan Morgan said the Panthers were not interested in trading away picks.
  2. Kind of a weak defense for his point.
  3. Impressive presser!! Dan seems great in this role. Please no more pressers by him...don't want other teams to get any ideas at the end of the year. Amusing observation.....he kind of reminds me of Hotch on Criminal Minds...did not crack a smile.
  4. Firefighters on Tuesday found NFL player Caleb Farley’s father dead in the rubble of a massive, collapsed Lake Norman home owned by the Tennessee Titans cornerback. Deputies first responded to the gas-scented scene at about 12 a.m., Iredell County Emergency Management reported. The $3 million home used to stand near a north Lake Norman cove just past Trump National Golf Club, property records show. At a news conference Tuesday afternoon, county Fire Services and Emergency Management Director Kent Greene said officials are “looking into the issue of natural gas but the investigation is ongoing... It appears to be an accident.” Caleb Farley was at the scene of the deadly explosion later Tuesday morning and spoke with the fire marshal. His aunt and uncle also were on the scene, according to Greene. The 6,000-square-foot house was leveled, Greene said, and several cars were also lost. Caleb Farley, a 24-year-old Maiden native and former Virginia Tech cornerback, has owned the home since May 2022, records show. 5. You are right. He messaged me sometime back in response to something I posted. Mentioned he had lost his son about 2 weeks before. Seems like around age 11.
  6. I am confused...you mean things can turn out differently than they looked before? Wow.
  7. Thought Irsay said that would not happen....lol Colts owner Jim Irsay, when asked later Saturday about the trade request, told ESPN the team would not trade Taylor. "We will not trade Jonathan Taylor," Irsay said. "That is a certainty. Not now or not in October." https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/38097042/colts-jonathan-taylor-awaits-decision-trade-request
  8. Yep...just saw that. Joe should have waited a couple of hours before submitting his article.
  9. Those are only the locks......his roster only has 46 players...there will be 7 more and he lists who he thinks will also make it. The players he thinks will make it: Prediction: Corral, Shi Smith, Ricci, McCray, Jensen, McCall and Barno.
  10. He think Corral makes it....one of the bubble players but gets in...read the last part of the post.
  11. He lists 21 players as on the bubble for the final 7 spots to the roster listed below. Teams must get from 90 players to 53 by Aug. 29, and coach Frank Reich anticipates the Carolina Panthers carrying their full complement until the deadline. Person's roster: Quarterback (2): Bryce Young, Andy Dalton Running back (3): Miles Sanders, Chuba Hubbard, Raheem Blackshear Wide receiver (5): Adam Thielen, DJ Chark, Jonathan Mingo, Laviska Shenault, Terrace Marshall Tight end (3): Hayden Hurst, Ian Thomas, Tommy Tremble Offensive line (7): Ikem Ekwonu, Brady Christensen, Bradley Bozeman, Taylor Moton, Chandler Zavala, Cam Erving, Cade Mays Interior defensive line (4): Derrick Brown, DeShawn Williams, Shy Tuttle, Henry Anderson Edge (5): Brian Burns, Justin Houston, Marquis Haynes, Yetur Gross-Matos, DJ Johnson Inside linebacker (4): Shaq Thompson, Frankie Luvu, Deion Jones, Kamu Grugier-Hill Cornerback (5): Jaycee Horn, Donte Jackson, C.J. Henderson, Keith Taylor, Troy Hill Safety (5): Xavier Woods, Vonn Bell, Jeremy Chinn, Jammie Robinson, Sam Franklin Specialists (3): Eddy Pineiro, Johnny Hekker, J.J. Jansen By my math (and there’s a reason I was an English major), that’s 46 players who shouldn’t have to sweat too much next week when the phone calls start asking guys to come to the stadium — and bring their playbooks. That includes the veteran corner Hill, who agreed to terms Sunday night. Hill has ties to defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero and cornerbacks coach Jonathan Cooley from their time with the Los Angeles Rams. There are at least nine players listed above dealing with injuries — Dalton, Sanders, Hubbard, Marshall, Mays, Erving, Anderson, Haynes and Pineiro. If all are cleared, they’re on the team. (I didn’t include right guard Austin Corbett because he’s not going to be ready for the regular season following ACL surgery in January.) The players he thinks will make it: Prediction: Corral, Shi Smith, Ricci, McCray, Jensen, McCall and Barno. Injuries could change things of course. https://theathletic.com/4791832/2023/08/21/carolina-panthers-roster-analysis-bubble/?source=dailyemail&campaign=601983
