I agree with your take He’s made a couple throws these last two games with some big time anticipation. Which was supposed to be one of his strengths coming into the league. Bryce has taken more shots downfield as well. Even just throwing a couple up to Sanders this past Sunday that led to positive gains. One by completion the other by PI. Bryce wasn’t doing those things last year. There’s for sure been progress made but again small sample size. Like you said about the screens to counter the blitzes I think we saw some similar calls in Denver where the play design wasn’t to get a first down but just to get the ball out quick and not have Bryce take a sack or get hit. I think his personal life/gf situation was playing a bit of role early this season as well. Bryce was smiling throughout the game on Sunday and I don’t remember ever seeing that before. Hopefully he just starts playing more freely and we’ll see what happens. The quickest way for us to become competitive again is for Bryce to be who they had hoped he’d be. Do I think that’ll happen? No but after the last 2 games I’m at least semi excited to see what happens this Sunday

Coker was dealing with a shoulder injury Sunday but came back into the game Moving forward though, David Moore should not be on the field if Coker isn’t. Moore adds nothing but he’s one of Canales’ guys. Only reason he even made this team to begin with

Bryce honestly played great yesterday. Bryce looked like a different guy out there. There is no reason to not start him the rest of the season now. My only complaint was that he drifted back to his right again on the 2pt conversion play gifting Chase Young a sack. He’s got to stop doing that. Dave Canales looked like our biggest problem yesterday. The play calling was atrocious. The fact Jalen Coker wasn’t on the field a lot more is mind boggling. I assume they’re trying to give Miles a chance to show literally anything so they can trade him but enough is enough. The 3 screens after that late Saints score was something. Im very pro tank but I’m ok with winning yesterday because it was mainly all the young guys contributing. The Saints are beyond awful but whatever.

Our next 2 games are our most winnable for the rest of the season. Saints and Giants Tennessee has Jax twice and the Patriots. Other than that they have nothing but guaranteed losses remaining. We really need to lose these next two games

To be fair who wants to be an area scout and live on the road making very little money? And when you’re a scout you’re just a piece of the puzzle. You give your input and that’s it. Way too many cooks in the kitchen. Too often I think teams over scout and often fall in love with the kid more than the player. Scouting can literally be done on YouTube these days. I’d honestly rather the Panthers hire one of these Twitter/YouTube nerds that dedicate their lives to scouting all these guys for fun. Hell, even the ones here that post in the college forum would have had a higher success rate the last 7 years drafting for the Panthers than the Panthers have had Everyone is beyond frustrated with this team doing dumb ass poo every year and think they’re smarter than everyone else
