  1. They need to hit on that first round pick for QB.
  2. Everyone always jokes about how a fan could make a better choice. In Fitts case, I think that was absolutely truth.
  3. We had one this season but Dave wanted his number 1 draft pick to start no matter how bad he looked. This season wasn’t about winning. It was about Dave proving he knew how to evaluate NFL talent.
  4. We couldnt win a game if the other team forfeited.
  5. We're contending for the worst team the NFL has ever seen. Does that count?
  6. Possibly not. He would have only had the 23 2nd to waste. If he's fired tomorrow, someone else could have wasted both 1sts.
  7. It's amazing how many of us were called idiots for screaming that Fitts should have taken that deal and run and never looked back.
  8. Having an owner that doesn't let have his wife acting as head of scouting wouldn't be a bad thing.
  9. From a number 1 draft pick? You damn right I expect better than a lazy ass walk back and his feet facing the sideline when it's time to throw a pass.
  10. He doesn't know how to lose and it shows.
  11. Being a rookie has nothing to do with his footwork being hot garbage, or not being able to zip a ball to an NFL open receiver, or being able to be brought down by a fingertip. That hop skip and float crap worked at Bama but it doesn't cut it in the NFL. Are there issues? Absolutely. But Bryce is a huge part of them.
  12. The fans have already been gutted.
  13. This season didn't have to be this bad that's the worst part. Bryce wasn't ready to be a full time starter. Dalton should have been playing at least half the season.
  14. I saw a Bryce Young jersey at Ross on the clearance rack.
  15. I live on the west coast and follow professional football pretty heavily. Nobody is talking about Cam in football terms.
  16. Outside of Charlotte and maybe Atlanta, Cam isn't relevant.
  17. No one is ignoring his play and no one is moving the goal posts for Burns. The goal post is still the same. Burns has never gotten there once. Elite level pay requires elite level play. Burns is Hassan Reddick with a nifty sack celebration. Nothing wrong with that, but let's not pretend he's Bosa, Watt, or Garrett. And just because the Rams were willing to ridiculously overpay isn't a justification to pay him as an elite player. Don't take another GMs mistake and compound it.
  18. If I got paid and didn't have to do my job well or at all, I'd like my bosses too.
  19. Bosa has done it before. He's played to the level of contract he demanded. Burns hasn't in 5 years. That's the difference. And I still think Bosa's contract was ridiculous but the 9ers are in position to win the Super Bowl. The Panthers are about to be 2-15. Two vastly different situations.
  20. The first time I saw one of these I asked my wife if the air bags were on the outside so it would bounce like a beach ball.
  21. Pro Bowl Monteaz Sweat just signed a deal for less than what Burns is asking. Sweat is a more complete edge rusher than Burns. It's not hate to point out that Burns is not worth the money he's asking. Other players have signed lesser contracts and are out playing him. People want to build a winner and giving a Bosa level contract to a guy that hasn't had Reddick level production is an issue. Despite what New Orleans leads people to believe, there is a finite level of cap space to work with every year. We need to spend our resources wisely across the board. If Burns is willing to sign a team friendly contract in the same neighborhood as Sweat, it's still a slight overpay, but whatever. If he wants a Bosa level contract, let someone else pay it. His production hasn't warranted that level of pay increase. Overpay and hope it works out is the Hurney way and we all saw how that worked out for us with several different players.
  22. We turned down 2 1sts and a 2nd to build our defense around a pro bowl alternate in a contract year. Panthers gonna Panther.
