I'm cool with that too, however there is a difference between shooting your shot and jumping into the nearest ravine blindfolded hoping to come up with gold.

I get it I really do but this franchise has already comprised its future hence why we are where we are. We had an MVP level franchise QB for nearly a decade but we never gave him an OL to protect him. This compromised our future because it reduced his peak effectiveness by at least five years. In my opinion we are at rock bottom. I do not like Watson because of his baggage but I hardly think this potential move would be the end all be all. For me it happened a long time ago with a series of bad moves and the chickens have come home to roost.

I agree with this, but I think Tepper has lost a lot of faith in either his coaches, front office or both that he told them they either get it right and fix this or hand themselves pink slips. I don’t think anyone wants to be going to Tepper’s office to give him any type of excuse. It’s tragic this is where we are…..

Like signing two mediocre vet QBs back to back for costs they are not even close to and have never showed they are worth? I agree with your post but I’m trying to tell you we are looking at an organization that seems to do things just cause they can and until they show otherwise that is the expectation one should have.

Winging it?! This organization had signed Teddy to that stupid contract, made a stupid trade for Sam and even exercised his 5th year option. It wouldn’t surprise me if they are calling in telephone psychics and reading smoke signals before making decisions

The moment Cam's arm was shot this was always the best move forward. Maybe you didnt have to turn off the tv but going in with any sort of expectations would be ill advised.

By going with Darnold the team essentially decided to stay mediocre.

Doubling down on two vet QBs who have shown that they are barely mediocre is inexcusable. I understand the logic of you can only go to war with the army you have but the way they have gone about it has been shambolic.

Hindsight maybe 20/20 but the in my opinion the writing was on the wall that it was never gonna work. And it didnt help that the OL was not invested in more during the draft as well....

I don't know how expecting Sam to be something he hasn't shown he can be is a logical move.

When he picked up Sam's 5ht year option. You don't need to be Nostradamus to know that was never going to be a good idea.

Its sad that these are the questions we are asking after 10 years of having franchise QB quality...

I hope it was worth it cause its gonna be a long season...

No offense but no one should have drafted any Panthers WR with Darnold at QB.
