I would not give away any 1st for any QB older than mid-20's. We are building for the future.

Latest CBS mock has Panthers picking Mac Jones at 8
Wolfcop replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
Article in the Athletic today where the writer does not think Jones will be taken by the Panthers that high. Inside sources were not impressed with any of the Sr Bowl QBs. -
Jones had a good week at the Sr Bowl. He could easily be a top 10 pick. There is also a decent chance that he winds up being a better pro QB than Lance. Accuracy is the buzzword with Jones.

That's too steep and would hurt us for years. Can't do it.

I know its not ideal to have an immobile QB, I would rather have one with pinpoint accuracy than one who is just kinda good with throwing and kinda good with running. There are a ton of those out there.

Relax, its January

Well....bye

Too bad the GMs dont get to make that decision. Let them sit at home - someone else can do their job.

Then we all stay locked in our basements for years to come. Should end well, huh?

A little over 1000 hospitalizations in a population of 10.5 million when this thing has been here since March does not say "hotspot" to me.
-
Good question and one likely likely to come up.
-
Well said. We keep hearing that hospitalizations are going up, but it's still less than 1000 people in the entire state. In a state of 10.5 million people, that is a drop in the bucket for a virus that has been here for 3 months.

Definitely a punch to gut economically. NC will lose out on millions of dollars at a time when it is really needed.

700-some hospitalizations out of 23,000 confirmed cases out of a population of 10.5 million. Use precautions, but keep things open. Those at risk have to use the utmost cautions.
-
On the flip side of that, there are a ton of asymptomatic/undiagnosed mild cases cases so the death rate might still be about the same, which is higher than the flu, but not high enough to cripple the economy for years. Those who are high risk should stay at home. Otherwise, folks have to get things going again.

Several first hand accounts from medical personnel who were told to classify deaths as COVID if they showed any of the symptoms and whether or not they tested positive. Other accounts of patients who tested positive and died who where classified as COVID deaths whether they died of COVID symptoms or something else. I have personally talked to a few nurses who have made similar claims. Now, there may also be some under reporting in some places as well, but let's admit we probably wouldn't bet our paychecks on either side of it.
