Impressive coaching on both sides there.
-
Just a reminder that Bennett was a Heisman finalist.
-
Don’t see Harrison coming back after that one. If he wasn’t unconscious, he was close to it.
-
Stetson Bennett = Tyler Bray He’s just surrounded by better talent.

Can Sam Darnold play himself into becoming the 2023 starter?

I’m confused. I didn’t post that. Why am I quoted as saying it? -

KJ Jefferson? He’s staying in college. -
Where’s UGA’s all world defense?

A little late, but I didn’t have time to post earlier… If we don’t get tight end addressed this draft and Bowers isn’t an option in 2024, Ben Sinnott from Kansas St looks like a stud. 2023 TE: Mayer/ Kincaid/ Washington/ Laporta/ Musgrave 2024 TE: Bowers/ Sinnott No reason we can’t flip our TE position over the next two years.
-
Same. It seems I may have dismissed him a bit early. I think I’d still take Young as QB1, but Stroud is a strong QB2.
-
Actually, the first TD to Harrison wasn’t on Ringo. It was zone coverage and Harrison beat the safety #24.
-
Ringo hasn’t been on him for all of his completions. Also, the TD he conceded was more on the DL whiffing multiple times. That said, Harrison Jr is a beast and should be a top 3 pick next year.

This is starting to feel like the Orange Bowl. Michigan, like Clemson, has squandered many opportunities to put up more points close to goal. In the end, Tennessee pulled away once the Clemson defense caved.
-
You could have just accepted my poo emoji and carried on. lol I’m not interested in squabbling about it either. That was just my way of saying I disagree with the take. Hopefully McCarthy has a solid 2nd half so this game gets interesting. Cheers
-
If you find an article or info that has McCarthy in that tier, I’d be happy to read it. I’ve seen them both play quite a bit, and I don’t see it.
-
I think you must have quoted the wrong post earlier. You insinuated I think Darnold is better than Young, which is incorrect. Maybe that was intended for someone else.
-
You couldn’t be more wrong. I’ve been saying Young is QB #1 and even posted today I was wondering what it would take to trade up to get him. Just saying it’s not as simple as Young vs Darnold. We will have to give up considerable assets to be in position to draft Young.
-
Not sad. Just giving a poo post the credit it deserves. No one except you and Michigan fans think McCarthy is on Maye/Williams level. ETA: Actually, most Michigan fans would think that’s a poo take too.
-
Those comparing Young and Darnold need to include what it would take for us to acquire Young. Likely looking at… Young vs Darnold + 3 1st round draft picks
-
Here’s to Stroud dropping to our 2nd round pick! Highly improbable, but I can’t still root for it. I was thinking last night what it might take to get the Texans off #1 for Young. Would they go for Burns + 2 1sts? Probably not. Not sure I’d want that anyway with Darnold playing decent and the 2024 crop of QBs looking strong.
-
This is tough because SO much of my plan could change over the next couple/few games. Darnold could make a me a believer in his ability to be a top 20 QB and I’d offer a 2-3 year deal around 8-10mil per with an out before the last year. Could be our bridge or more. Wilks could make me a believer that a replacement would crush the locker room. How can we hire Steichen who apparently can be a bit awkward when the players are all rallying for Wilks who’s showing great leadership skills. Those two decisions alone would alter too much to say definitively what my plan would be. Just winning the division may not provide enough info. There’s a possibility we could beat the Bucs and look terrible in a loss to the Saints while still winning the division. TBD for me, but this will be a fun excercise two games from now.
-
If he’s available in the 6th/7th, I’m taking him without blinking. Running to turn in the pick, and I’m a Tar Heel fan. Wilson/Ingle/Thomas are all worth late round selections, if available, off that defense. Injury history, size, and athleticism respectively may have them available in the last couple of rounds.

Would y’all want to pair a Kingsbury/Hackett with a HC Wilks or stick with McAdoo?

I’m curious as to what your subjective view of a QB “playing well” is.
