  1. Fully embracing the tank in 2022 would be the most exciting to me because it would increase hope for 2023 and beyond. That means letting Reddick and Jackson walk this off-season. Acquiring the two ~3rd through 5th round comp picks in 2023 for losing them. That means riding or dying (mostly dying) with Darnold as the starter for the first half of the year. Try to dump him around the trade deadline to a desperate team if possible. Then move to the rookie we draft or whoever else really. That would make me most excited because the front office would be showing signs of intelligence re: building for the future. We will not compete for a Super Bowl next year so don’t dig the hole deeper making a handcuffed effort to do so.
  2. Does it really matter who we have at QB if Brady is the QB in Tampa? If he's there, free agents will show up. I think he's done though.
  3. I'm very doubtful we sit at #6. Why on earth would we sabotage cap space to give up one of, if not THE, best players in our organization? Why do that when we can just trade back and acquire more picks?
  4. Would love him in the 3rd round. Not excited about him above that and think playing in Kiffin's system helped him tremendously.
  5. Wasn't it a fracture in his foot?
  6. 8-9 wins this year and everyone will be back on board with Rhule’s plan. We’ll see if we get strong enough qb play to get there. Doubtful but depends on who we draft/pick up.
  7. Is this like when the 49ers were trading up for Mac Jones?
  8. We don’t have enough cap space and picks to address every need this year, and this need isn’t as large as others. With that said, I’d throw a cheap contract at Vander Esch and a back up contract at Carter. See what comes of it. My other option is Darnold for Parsons straight up. I’m sure Dallas would be more than happy. lol
  9. I feel some of your pain, but 30 other teams made the same decision to pass on him long after pick #34.
  10. Let’s ignore a wasted draft pick from last year and focus on celebrating the return of the GOAT long snapper. Glad he’s back!
  11. PFF graded him at 76.1 for the season. That would be second only to Moton (76.6) on our team. I knows PFF isn’t the whole picture, but he’s young enough and improving so I’d be comfortable securing his services for a multi-year contract and considering that guard spot secure.
  12. I guess we’ll have to see what kind of deal he gets this off-season. Could always build in significant bonuses if he starts a certain # of games and we make playoffs. I trust Samir would get that right.
  13. Why did his agent let him sign for 2.5mil last year? Do they think he’ll suddenly land a $10mil+ gig this year? I don’t think so. He’ll be seeking a cheap, prove it deal and I hope we’re the ones to give it to him within reason.
  14. Disagree for us. 4 mil is easily worth never having to watch PJ or Will Grier type backups. For him, I never expected he would have signed last year for $2.5mil. Why would he not like a 60% raise. If he turned out to be our starter, by the end of his contract he’s still young enough to get paid. Worth pursuing imo.
  15. I don’t think you want to use Cam’s recent stats.
  16. What’s the downside for the Panthers in bringing Trubisky in for 4 years, $16 mil? Secure a great backup QB at minimum.
  17. I disagree. How many losses does Cam need to rack up for some to believe he’s done? He is a short yardage/red zone threat only at this point.
  18. You’re brilliant. It’s about improving our team. You bring in Trubisky because he’d be the best QB option on our roster.
  19. James Daniels & Connor Williams Starters next year… BC/Williams/Elf/Daniels/Moton Use draft over the next two years to replace Elf. Can move Daniels to Center if we find another guard.
  20. Except Trubisky was a winner at QB and there was tangible improvement in their offense when he played vs Foles/Fields.
  21. Do you think Trubisky is better than Darnold?
  22. Blah blah. He had a horrible coach and no talent around him. Look at their success with Trubisky vs without under Nagy. Also, we have a good defense too.
  23. Trubisky won with Nagy and little help on offense. He can be a mid tier starter in the league. More likely bottom third starter caliber which is better than what we have currently. Just to confirm your thoughts though, I’d be thrilled if we draft OL Marcus McKethan in the 5th or later.
  24. You pointed out nothing. Here, let me try to help the discussion on why I think your assumption is wrong…. I don’t think Wilson has a stronger arm than Howell. I don’t think Lance is more accurate than Howell. While his running style isn’t aesthetically pleasing, he proved to be a more effective runner than both. Hes built to withstand a beating which pairs well with our Oline. So what exactly does he lack physically compared to those two? Straight line speed? Height?
