I was definitely one of them and I’m here for the whoopin. I was certain he would sign for more than 5mil per and thought it would be more in the 8+ mil range. I was wrong. I put the Bills in the top 3 of strangest landing spots for Trubisky. Not sure the play here. He either doesn’t want the pressure of starting again or is angling for a bigger deal with more cap available next year. Like the Saints, I’m kicking the can down the road on my prediction of what deal he signs. Ha

I’d be excited with that.
-
Glad to hear it. Doubt he makes it to UDFA land after that pro day.

We’re lacking a size mismatch weapon in the red zone. Maybe this guy deserves a look....

You got TB over Watson, eh? lol -
Far from side tit, but my neck hair game is strong atm. I never said we couldn’t do better than Mitch. We could do worse though which you seem to disagree with.
-
I didn’t realize that posted. Thought I had deleted. I was going to say I think you’re off on what Trubisky will sign for this offseason. We shall see.
-
I think you’re way off on lol. Tannehill played in the AFCCG year before last.

Love you too, shnookums. Think about me in a few years when you wish we weren’t paying a QB 25-30% of our cap so we could resign young talent and acquire free agents.
-
Because he wasn’t Mahomes or Watson and Nagy is a terrible offensive coordinator. He’s not perfect, but for the cheap contract he’ll likely sign, he’s about as good an option as we’ll have without selling the farm.
-
Why wasn’t the defense carrying them to the playoffs when Foles was the QB?
-
My opinion: -Trubisky was very green coming into the league -He was always going to play his best ball on his second contract due to that -He has ~10 more college + NFL starts in his career than ROOKIE Justin Herbert last year. -Look at his stats over the course of last year. He’s still improving which is a good sign. -Chicago sold out on defense and left little in the cupboard for Trubisky on O. -He’d be CHEAP and I’d bet a top 10-15 QB over the course of his next contract in the right situation.
-
He literally led his team to the playoffs this year. Come up with something else.

No, I get it, but I also understand how easy it would be to give him one chance and cut him before the locker room is affected if he can’t get it together.

I don’t see this as a dumb move by Miami at all. Ignoring Wilson altogether, swapping a 7th this year when it’s much tougher to evaluate players in person for a 7th next year seems like a wise move. Zero risk. Miami gets two lottery tickets to Tennessee’s one. None are likely to hit, but can’t see how it’s a dumb move for Miami.
-
He did live in Charlotte but they moved away.
-
Probably looking here: It looks like your link added a zero where it shouldn’t in the dead cap, but idk enough about rookie contracts. Doubt cap hit would go up that dramatically in 4th year though.
-
I get it regarding our use of tight ends, but I also think Brady would utilize a weapon as a receiving threat like Jordan. Also still don’t think he makes it past the second. If he’s there in the third and we haven’t upgraded the TE position through free agency, it’d be difficult to pass on him. I also really like Hunter Long too.
-
Highly doubt he makes it past the 2nd, but id be ecstatic if we landed him in the 3rd.
-
If Brevin Jordan is available in the 2nd, I’d take him.

Let's talk linebackers (Rostered, draft, & FA)

I have the guy for Day 3...... Isaiah McDuffie, Boston College https://bostoncollege.rivals.com/news/lb-isaiah-mcduffie-enters-name-in-2021-nfl-draft Hard hitter. Tough. Fiery. Top 5 in the country in tackles last year. Would be an excellent pick up in later rounds. -
Panthers will "pay any price" for Watson (via Sportsnaut via PFN)
ECHornet replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
We won’t actually pay any price. Getting our message out there of how bad we do want Watson might help us in being the team Watson eventually picks though. -
Question ..... does the no trade clause in Watson’s contract transfer to the team that acquires him by trade?
-
Everyone passing on him as an option in this thread has seen the OL we have on contract, right?
-
Trade a 6th for him and his potential to be our starting LG. If it turns out he can’t get it together, cut him. Probably won’t find anyone with his potential on day 3 anyway.
