  1. Wallace is going to be a good LB for us for the next decade. That was a draft pick well spent.
  2. I think he’s earned a bigger contract than Javonte to this point. I also think Hubbard and Brooks are more similar, so we need more of a bruiser back like Javonte. I won’t be upset if we sign Hubbard to a franchise friendly contract. I will think it unwise if we sign him to a relatively expensive deal, especially if Javonte was available for less. FWIW… OTC has their market values as: Chuba ~ 10mil Javonte ~5.6mil
  3. I mentioned it recently, but Javonte should be the RB we sign this offseason if he’s available. He pairs better with Brooks. Hopefully, he’d like to play closer to home. Javonte/Brooks behind our OL can win games.
  4. I don’t get why no one considers the franchise tag for Diontae. He doesn’t have to hit the open market this offseason bc of it. Higgins didn’t. We don’t “have to” trade him until next years deadline.
  5. If I were GM…. Chuba has been great, but we should have learned our lesson about paying unnecessarily large second contracts to RBs. We drafted Brooks as the first RB taken in the draft. Chuba, while great so far this year, is not a RB that will carry us to the playoffs on his back. Plus, they are similar backs. We need a bruiser, so… Javonte Williams. He and Hubbard are both in the last years of their contract. Denver’s running game has struggled and Chuba could be what they’re looking for since they have a rookie bruiser (Estime) ready to play now. Javonte has been largely disappointing since his injury, but their line and running him into 8 man boxes isn’t helping. I think he would do much better with our OL. Brooks starter. Javonte short yardage/red zone. Could probably still net a late pick from the Broncos for the swap, and Javonte would be much cheaper to re-sign, which is very important in our current situation.
  6. I haven’t seen or heard anything from Diontae as a Panther suggesting he’s a poor teammate or diva. Maybe Pickens is the diva and difficult to share targets with. Idk, but I do know we should lock him up with a 3-4 year contract if he’ll take 22ish mil per year. If not, tag him and find a suitor.
  7. We have no other realistic candidate for the franchise tag. We may use it on Diontae and see what happens in free agency and the draft. I don’t think we have to be in a rush here.
  8. Great group. Still think they’d be outdone by a grouping of Higgins/Legette/Worthy if they’re together 4+ years. Especially if Dalton is throwing to them for a few.
  9. Johnson + Mingo + 2025 4th for Worthy Let the Xaviers unite to solidify our WR room for the next 4.5 years. Their cheap contracts would allow us to compete for signing Higgins. Higgins/Legette outside with Worthy in the slot is likely the best WR corp ever for our franchise.
  10. Sanders can be cut this offseason for less than 3mil dead cap.
  11. We likely had no check down because Young misread it. No excuses for not having a hot route to counter their all out blitzes. They were 0% scared of us threatening them deep. Doesn’t help that most times we throw deep, it’s 5-10 yards long or out of bounds.
  12. I can see top 25 this year if our new OL allows us to run the ball more efficiently.
  13. They also seemingly nailed their HC hire. Here’s to hoping we did the same.
  14. Raiders cut their 3rd round DT from a year ago. Another B Young from Bama.
  15. I trust our staff put in many, many hours leading to these claims. Morgan said he was looking at it like a second draft. Reports coming out that Dave valued the claim process this year more than most other coaches. Let’s hope their scouting was on point, but I believe they put in the legwork leading to today.
  16. CB Tre Flowers was released by the Jaguars
  17. Vilain Waived Wonnum and Barno on PUP to start the season. That leaves Clowney, Johnson, Chaisson, and Leota as our only OLBs.
  18. Possibly 6. Collins/Diggs/Dell/Woods/Brown
  19. He runs the sit routes well. Since he is also a deep threat with his size, speed, and high pointing ability, the sit routes will always be effective for him. That's great because I anticipate he'll be difficult to bring down after the catch.
  20. I hate this thread title when we’re in the days of final cuts. I keep opening the Huddle and thinking it actually happened.
  21. I strongly recommend you not to go back and watch the first two preseason games to evaluate Plummer, unless you want to lose all hope you currently have in our QB3. The only, and I mean only, positive you will see is that he was able to bounce back and have a nice Game 3.
