  1. You could just click the links provided and read instead of making people explain every little thing to you. You looking at one ranking and saying it’s not consensus, when there are websites dedicated to taking that ranking and every other ranking and making consensus big boards, makes zero sense. And yeah, we get that it’s the media and we don’t have all the big boards for all the teams. I’d be happy to look at those if you can provide them.
  2. Understanding what “consensus” means might help you out here. https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/big-boards/2023/consensus-big-board-2023 We get it, you’re the smartest person in the room and you never liked Young, but maybe give it a rest every once in a while.
  3. Clearly he has done a poor job, and clearly he cares about making money. Who doesn’t care about making money? But if it was just about the money he wouldn’t be firing the coaches while he’s still on the hook for most of their salary. He also wouldn’t be apparently writing blank checks to bring in the most expensive position coaches, etc.
  4. Gotta love the state of “reporting” these days. Let your imagination run wild, post some scenario you dreamed up while sitting on the toilet in an article behind a paywall. Create a headline that makes people think it’s a real story. Get re-tweeted and shared until the collective conscious believes your toilet fantasies are real.
  5. Wow so this pretty much confirms that Duce Staley was fired instead of elevated to interim HC because he wanted to do game planning and Tepper said no. My source reported yelling in the building and swears he heard the term “funky old codger.” Make no mistake it is no accident Tabor, one of the lone holdovers from the Rhule administration, was elevated. Reports are that Tabor and Campen are essentially “made men” under Tepper and Reich was forced to keep them against his will. The next head coach will have to be on board with them as well.
  6. Why would Chris Tabor be made interim when we have an “Assistant Head Coach”?
  7. This one was incredibly stupid and short sighted. No good head coach candidate will want to come here now. Rhule was given too long of a leash and needed to be fired after his second season. And Rivera was only kept around for continuity at the time. Tepper is too hasty when he needs to wait, and waits too long when he shouldn’t. Whatever he does, he manages to do wrong. Just wait for him to move the team because he doesn’t have fan support for his shitty product. I think the NFL has wanted this franchise moved for a while which was part of the public lynching of Jerry Richardson for about a decade going back to making him the villain in cba negotiations, but before that he was always viewed as a family oriented players owner who connected with players based on being the only owner to play in the league. The NFL wanted a newer, richer owner with no local connections to open up the possibility of a move. Don’t ever forget they made a Broncos fan head official for our Super Bowl against the Broncos.
  8. Yeah if I’m a head coach candidate worth my salt, I’m taking one look at this poo show and walking, no running, the other direction. An owner who changes his mind on my employment within the span of a game? No thanks.
  9. Lol he already turned down this poo show and you think he’s gonna look at a team with no first round pick and an owner that just fired his head coach after just 11 games and be like “yeah, that looks more attractive now”. No way.
  10. This is why it was a bad decision to fire Reich. He wasn’t doing a good enough job, we all agree on that, but we were already getting turned down for interviews by top candidates. No top candidate will go to an organization where the owner just fired a respected head coach after 11 games.
  11. Clearly what I’m saying has gone over your head. Whether equating “immediate pressure up the middle” to simply “pressure”, or thinking I was making any sort of comment about the Car/Hou game as a whole, or continuing to think about Bryce existing only in the context of this offense directly after I said it is moronic to do so. This is the problem, we can’t have a normal discussion because of idiotic takes like he doesn’t have talent, he can’t throw the ball 20yds, Stroud would look just as good in this offense, we would be happy with Richardson who may never throw right again, etc. Keep telling people to “cope” instead of having an actual conversation. And the complete lack of awareness to sit there on a high horse and try to talk about people who just want to be right. Pot meet kettle.
  12. Ah yes, Bryce is whiffing blocks and running slow and bad routes. Last game, when Bryce put the ball in Mingo’s hands on second down, it was Bryce who dropped the pass for him because Mingo didn’t feel “unlocked” enough to catch that pass. And it was obviously Bryce who made the OL whiff on their blocking assignments and the RB run backwards on first down to lose yards. Then it was Bryce’s fault the OL false started on the subsequent 3rd down. So clearly when Bryce is forced into a 3rd and 18 behind an OL that can’t pass protect with slow WRs that can’t separate, he should be a miracle worker as a rookie QB. And he should do that over and over again every game just to salvage some semblance of an average offense. This is all very realistic.
  13. Ah yes, Bryce has about 5% of plays per game where absolutely everything isn’t falling apart around him and he isn’t throwing TDs on every one of those plays. Super realistic expectations. It is mind numbingly stupid to pretend you of all people can properly evaluate a QB in this offense. Keep ignoring the many professionals who are saying the same as me. Like Feely just the other day talking about how lack of confidence in your OL (deserved lack of confidence as well) can lead to not climbing the pocket even when it’s clean and every play being a scramble drill. Professionals who have forgotten more about football than you’ll ever know have been pointing it out all season. I’m just hoping this season doesn’t ruin him for the rest of his career. We talk about David Carr as a “who knows whether he would have become a good QB if he wasn’t surrounded by incompetence to start his career”. We don’t say “well he clearly wasn’t talented.” The talent is clearly there and to continue to pretend like it’s a talent issue is just dumb. Sorry if I don’t adhere to your arm chair gm evaluation of a QB you are determined to hate. “Cope” indeed what a cringe argument.
  14. I’ve only watched one Stroud game, Panthers vs Texans, and he looked just as terrible as Bryce the few times he had immediate pressure like Bryce has had to deal with on what feels like damn near every drop back all season. Richardson has the same injury that ended Cam’s arm. Imagining that either would be some panacea to this atrocious offense is absolutely ridiculous. If we drafted Stroud you would be talking about him as a bust in this offense.
  15. Pushing Jordan Gross into early retirement so we could start Byron Bell…
  16. Who was the RB in 2017 or was that a typo? Also don’t forget Evan Mathis. But this current cluster all goes back to Matt Rhule. Bridgewater should have never been here. We had Cam in the final year of his contract, all we had to do was keep him and see if he was still our guy. Then if he leaves and signs somewhere in FA he gets factored into the comp pick formula. Also, Hurney wanted to trade up for Justin Herbert but Rhule didn’t.
  17. Did you watch the game? There were definitely some good runs and some times when the run was working really well, but there were also drives killed by negative yardage runs on first and second down. I remember one it was first down run for like negative 2 or 3 yards. 2nd and 13 Mingo drops a pass. False start on OL. Then all of a sudden we’re 3rd and 18 with an OL that can’t pass protect. Or the field goal in the first half we were driving but then we had a first down run that lost like 4 or 5 yards and that was the end of that drive this offense can’t recover from that. poo like that happens way too much. Then the D keeps giving Dallas free first downs with bonehead penalties, and before you know it we’re going into the half down 17-3 and pretty much in panic mode because scoring 14 points while not allowing any on D is pretty much impossible for this team.
