Official Panthers - Dolphins GameDay Thread
rodeo replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
Do you guys remember last week when the Bills announcer yelled INTERCEPTION on accident when Boykin caught a pass? Mixon can't even get excited for a legitimate interception. -

We would save 2 million by going with Ward over Tolbert. -

Wait I don't understand how that run didn't work, we brought Cotchery into the backfield and everything. I bet the defense was so confused. -

2013 was the year of the 'feeding frenzy' against BAL wasn't it? Panthers looked awesome in the preseason. I've never seen them look terrible in the preseason and then look good in the season. -

That was a beautiful pass from Cam to Brown. Bounced off his chest. -

Bounces off our undrafted #1 receiver's hands. Gonna be a fun season. -

Does Ted Gin really need practice returning punts? Put Byrd back there for the preseason. -

Get up Fraaaaaaank -
The answer is on the roster, and it's 6-10.

I got up to get a drink and came back to a replay of a Bills o-line player with his hands around a Panthers' neck holding him from behind. Then I put on my headphones to hear the announcer saying "I don't know, it's hard to tell from this angle, I don't see it." They were hilarious

These announcers are so salty! "The stats were almost gaudy in favor of Buffalo the first half!" I remember at halftime they pointed out a difference in rushing yards and that the rest was nearly identical.

Good grief Webb can't hit anyone.

Deep bomb to Cotchery incoming
-
Byrd has got some potential back there at PR.
-
But execution!
-
QB got to the line with 4 seconds left on the clock. Our OC is pathetic.
-
It doesn't matter how far past the LOS the QB is, he has to have both feet down.
-
Zod did name that as one of his big faults from the TB days before he ever coached a down for us.
-
It's a problem that has followed him every place he's coached throughout his whole career.
-
Is Funchess playing today?
-
So when's the last time you saw this team come out looking horrible in preseason and then they ended up being awesome during the season?
-
He's the new Legadu. Seems like every pass to him goes disasterously wrong, whether it's his fault or not.
-
Ginn already has more return yards than Bersin racked up last year.

I notice Jeremy said "play confusion, miscues, overthrows, wrong routes, slow play development" but the retorts defending Shula have mostly said "execution." The problems on our offense are not just the QB missing a throw or the receiver dropping the ball. It's confusion, lack of urgency, and slow developing plays. Those things are ALL on the OC. We have experienced vets who, after many years in the league, suddenly look like they have no idea what's going on, running wrong routes, stopping mid route, etc. Do you think they suddenly turned stupid? It's the OC's job to get everyone on the same page, it's the OC's job to install urgency, quick-fire plays which have been THE most successful thing in our offense, and all indications are that Shula is failing yet again.
