Need to research O-Line candidates more but wouldn't hate this draft too much.

Looking at Scourton Vs Princely stats across the season (and I just pulled these off PFF): Scourton was on the field for 3x as many snaps (717 vs 222) but didn't out perform him by that same volume. If you extrapolate it out then Princely would have had more tackles, assists, forced fumbles, stops and hits across the same volume. Appreciate it's not as simple as that, but it's encouraging. If he can keep his mouth shut long enough to stay on the team, and continues to develop, that is.

Your Feelings on Bryce Through 3 Seasons? (POLL)
BritishPanther replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
Throughout the season I've flipped between 3-5. I've never felt he's above average. I can't remember where he sat statistically without looking it up, and my morning coffee hasn't kicked in enough yet for me to care too much. But he feels like a QB destined to be about 20-25th best starter across a season. Someone who is okay, but you'll never get somewhere as a franchise with him back there. To my mind he has fight in him and does make some good plays in critical drives. But he also makes a lot of bad throws that the good can't compensate for. I'm currently between 4-5. He's still missing reads, open throws and ball placement can be very inconsistent at times. And we're three years in now. Some throws he made last night were great, that TD pass was spot on and I think that's what causes a lot of discourse here. He has flashes of great mixed in with a lot of poor-average play. It's some bipolar QB play. It may be 3-4 years down the line he has that one great season in his career, but how long do you hang onto him for hoping that happens? Anyway, that's enough tired rambling from me. Peace to all of you, we go again next season. Keep Pounding! -
After today, draft all the late round QBs possible, battle royale in training camp, winner gets to be QB1 next year. Can't be any worse than what we currently have.
-
Stupid question here but why are there only 22 of the 24 attempts shown? Either way it's atrocious and we need to move on from him.
-
Would love to get Reese and Styles. Chances are we get neither but I'll keep dreaming.
-
Agreed, another safety would be nice. Bud Clark, TCU, is one I would like to see us take a flyer on later in the draft, if he stays healthy and we don't take someone earlier. I just really hope we draft a solid C this year. Tired of seeing us cycle through average to below average players in that area.

Agree with you on pretty much everything here. We're in need of reinforcement on the o line, some sort of QB (give me anyone over 5'11 and 200lbs at this point, I don't care) and improvement in most places. Admittedly I don't watch much college football, but had a first shot at the draft for next year.

I was just refering to the broadcast. I couldn't tell you for the life of me what we actually ran that play.
-
Yeah, the broadcast announced we were set up in a 4-3 (4-2-5 in the graphic) in the opening. We looked a lot better with 4 up front and I hope it long continues that way.

Rozeboom surprised me with how well he played (let's face it, it wasn't hard to show a slight improvement on the crapfest he's been serving up recently), but I wouldn't agree with an 83. Eh, PFF..it is what it is.

Official Week 5: Dolphins @ Panthers Gameday Thread
BritishPanther replied to rodeo's topic in Carolina Panthers
fug Bryce. Get him off the field/sidelines/out of town now. -
I made the mistake of watching the 9ers-Saints game earlier. Two teams who actually look like they know how to play football. The Saints would probably beat us easily right now, that's how bad we are.

T-Mac/TMac sounds better to my ear. Context behind Nalo might help but, honestly, I just hope he delivers. He's got the confidence, let's see that translate to TDs and a Superb Owl!

Panthers sign International Pathway Player
BritishPanther replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
British? Played for my local team? Now on the Panthers? Yes sir, just one more reason to love the Panthers. -
If Walker and Graham are off the board and someone wants to trade, I can see it happening. Top 15 and no further down hopefully.
-
I'm all mocked out. That'll do. Bring on tomorrow.
-
Picked up some nice pieces here. No clue why Sawyer fell as far down as he did but I'll take it.
-
Revised a little. Only thing I'd like to add is a kicker but otherwise this wouldn't be terrible for me. Felton's speed would help stretch the defense. I never thought I would find myself missing Ted Ginn (outside of the 2015 season!)
-
Enjoyed a few trade downs to fill in some blanks on defence. Would love to add Bond and Noel to the WR room. And getting another kicker on the books.

Who is your way too early mid-round draft crush?
BritishPanther replied to BeenPounding's topic in Carolina Panthers
No idea where they'll go, but Charles Grant and Gunnar Helm both tick boxes for me. Helm paired with Sanders would make me feel much happier about our tight end situation. Grant coming in and given time to develop (and replace BC if he doesn't return) would offer the depth needed on O-line. Malachi Moore seems a good prospect at safety, but I don't know a huge amount about him.
