  1. Probably best for both parties .. And I keep forgetting we have Jordan Matthew's at TE
  2. I guarantee Tremble likes this hire lol. As far as LSU connects: It's 32 picks before us and imo maybe 10 receivers with first to top 2nd talent. Maybe 3 teams with 6 of those WRs. 4-5 Qbs, Maybe 2 TE's, 8 Offensive Lineman, 7 dbs, 6 DE/OLB, 2 MLBs, and maybe 6 DT's. We might not have a first rounder but we should definitely leave Day 2 with a first round talent. And at the very least our newly acquired coach should provide an extra insight in the draft room.
  3. That TE is 6'7 260 lbs... that's WILD. Huge security blanket. As is Coleman and Thomas. Just throw it up. I think Coleman has the best hands but Thomas reminds me Harrison Jr a lil minus the route running. They haven't even grown into their frames yet. Malik Washington is going to be a good one. Worthy was my fav b4 the 40... he priced himself out of our range but Mitchell is good as well. Side note: That TCU TE is going to a nightmare to tackle as he gets stronger.
  4. Donte when healthy is actually decent. Before this season dude had like 14-15 ints since being drafted. That said, Troy Hill outplayed him last year. Resign that man.
  5. Yea he'll probably go back end of the first after that. Pick 32.
  6. Chubba is still under contract? I thought this was his last year last season. Gladly mistaken. You can tell he's not a "take half the plays off" type of player. Even down to blocking. And after watching that Mic'd up segment, it wouldn't surprise me if he eventually became a captain. He just needs to keep working on his hands.
  7. It's one thing I'm fairly certain will happen. The RB's will be getting ALOT of work next season. I guarantee you he heavily watched the Wilks, Frank, and Chris era's. Probably the end of Rhule's stay as well. As he should.
  8. Props for mentioning ISM!!! I'd actually like to have Shenault and ISM on our roster just for the creativity we'd get from Canales. Shenault for the screens especially. ISM for the return ability..but also AGAIN I'll say he has the most upside of any receiver on our roster currently. I just dunno if you resign what in essence are two gadget players with potential. Side note: Iirc right before I saw that PFF video I could have swore either Canales or Morgan said that Chubba is going into this season as the #1 rb w/ Sanders behind him. Guess we're resigning Chubba (which I like as I feel he hasn't peaked yet) Side Note 2: Did bro on the right say alot of people like Zavala despite his mid 20 pff score...lol
  9. Canales being here brings a new change to an old program. His scheme alone should improve the offense. But honestly we could take a player at almost any position except safety with the holes we have. The most important would be a lineman imo. Canales will drill that release by 2.7 second theory into Bryce's head like he did Baker. The line has to be able to hold for those 3 seconds though. Also....an OL pick instantly improves every offensive position. If we address need in FA somehow, then BPA is the plan. Having the first pick in the 2nd round should get us alot of offers. Expect the trade down.
  10. Idunno, Curtis Samuel was pretty good by his 3rd year, esp the 4th. He might be the only one though. Lafell was decent. Funchess was tolerated by year 3. All more effective than TMJ. Yea u might be right lol.. hopefully Mingo pans out.
  11. I'm about 100% positive he'll be a Panther long term before Burns. And while we're at it ... for the "culture"...resign Brown, Shaq (min), Franklin, and ISM. Have a long look at Troy Hill, Chubba and Shenualt. Sanders, Thomas and Hurst need paycuts and extend Moton. The names above play hungry, aggressive and have either an "it" factor for their role or a strong leadership quality. DONOT pay Burns 30 a year. He's good to have but his production doesnt match his asking price. But Luvu... hell yes, shouldn't even be a discussion. Pay that man. And promote whoever found him. Ironically I think it was Morgan.
  12. Yup...now that I recall wat i read, ur def right. I had already forgot that AI is basically everywhere for a second.
  13. That article is so well written most of the uninitiated might miss the layers of satire throughout lol. Minus the introduction.
  14. Between our GM looking at talent, attitude, and will to win ontop of our HC's experience and emphasis on looking for and coaching proper technique and fundamentals ...even without a 1st... it wouldn't shock me if this ironically ended up as one of our better drafts. It's deep imo... and if you need a playmaker it's quite a few at each tier. If we could manipulate the cap to get us (not all stars) just upgrades in FA a BPA draft could set us up nicely. As for the senior bowl besides Ladd (wait until the combine) it's a couple LB's out there worth a look.
  15. In his press conference Canales mentioned two players by name. Bryce and Chubba. Playing us to our strengths. Which would make our Oline better and would probably lead to Bryce running alot of RPO's. But wouldn't that make RB a huge need. Idunno wat happened to Sanders and Chubba is a fringe starter. Do we resign Chubba, draft a guy like Corrum or do we look for at FA ala Foreman again? Keep in mind our cap space.
  16. Temper + Talent off the top of my head Offense: Thielen, Shenault, ISM, Chubba and Tremble. It's there but needs to be shown more: Hurst, Mingo and Blackshear. The entire oline except BC and Icky. Ickey might actually be on the fence at the moment(Think Derrick Brown in his second year). Maybe Sullivan. The defense has alot more names on it. Defense: Horn, Brown, Thurman, Luvu, Troy Hill, Franklin, Shaq, Bell, Woods.. Absolute no would go to CJ and Ian, with Donte dipping back between the two categories per game. Robinson was one in college...Still waiting on this. Evero's side is not the problem. Our defense can remain in games, hold each other accountable and bully most of the teams we play as is. The offense is where we get bullied at weekly. More specifically in the trenches. Our Oline is big... can get nasty at times but I wouldn't be too far off saying a couple of our starters play soft. Or maybe smaller then their size is a better way to put it. The absolute no would be Zavala (at the moment) And Moton is actually a "Dawg"....just not in the same way as the others. He's the exception. He's tough, exceptionally smart, does his assignment, comes to play, very talented but just not fiery. I've become accustomed to watching lineman and lb's yell in his face mask as he stares then awarkdly turns away to walk back to the huddle. Whether this is discipline or altercation scared remains to be determined. As long as he does his job at a high level I'm fine with it. But generally, I'd think you wouldn't want more than 2 question marks on your oline. The scheme just made it look alot worse than it actually is imo.
  17. Brown is the priority. Luvu I'd like back, especially if we tag and trade Burns. Idk about a reasonable deal though. Iirc, Luvu is the top LB on the market (per pff). I don't think he's a secret anymore. Interestingly, Devin White is avialable (Tampa connection). I'd love to see Luvu paired with Azeez Al-Shaair but that's probably a pipe dream. All of that said, one of those three should be in Panthers uniform next season.
  18. Another reason why I'd like to resign Luvu. Shaq also (if he's willing to play under the same type of contract as last year) Chubba as well. Anyone thinking otherwise obviously didn't watch his mic'd up segment. I wouldn't break the bank 4 em but I'd definitely try to keep him on the roster in some capacity.
  19. Nah, I think he appreciates grit, just not as much as analytics. One of the first compliments he gave Wilks was he's a leader of men. I'll never say coaching doesnt matter as it provides development, motivation, direction, discipline etc.. but so do the captains. These are some of the most athletic specimens on the planet who make well above my tax bracket. Grown men who shouldn't need hard coaching to perform as a unit at this point. . I don't even think John Madden could have willed us to a playoff spot this season. It's only so much you can do with this roster offensively. Especially when both our guards went down. The equation is simple. Keep the defense intact as much as possible. And invest HEAVILY in the offense. Bring in the new staff and for God's sake develop a scheme that plays to our players strength for once. Let Bryce play... if he still looks like his last two games bench him before its too late in the season. As far as coaching...We've had Rhule (the impulsive micromanaging type who is obsessed with Athletes), Wilks (The hard-nosed, accountability type), Reich(the experienced, too laid back guy) and Tabor (the straight shooter who will fight for his players). We need a combination personality in the building. Fix the offense ...Fix the panthers. Hell I'm sitting here watching Baker in the playoffs.
  20. And ironically he was too small to play QB...and iirc Armanti looked bigger than Bryce does currently. Still an awesome college player.
  21. Quiet and humble guy but he is definitely a #1 receiver. A lack of TDs just kept him from making the Pro Bowl. Its almost like saying Brown is a Jag because his sack numbers arent crazy. In 3 years Fitterer (with the Tepp's help) got rid of CMC, DJ + 2 first rounders(1 was swap) and 2 second rounders. And this was after turning down 2 1sts and a 2nd for Burns. Hell he couldn't get a deal done and still turned down every offer this season too. In hindsight...IF we would have traded Burns to LA and not traded up to #1 we would have probably wound up with Dalton throwing to Thielen and DJ Moore along with 4 firsts and two 2nds between the '23 and '24 draft. I will miss his aggressiveness in making moves though. He just made the wrong choice on about 8 out of 10 situations.
  22. Yea... just off a quick glance... I want Josh Allen but if we cant sign Burns then Danielle Hunter and Byrce Huff would easily handle his production. OL: Robert Hunt RB: Derrick Henry and Donte Foreman. (Nah I just wanna see this combo) WR... Hollywood Brown and Curtis Samuel Speed on the outside, power up the middle. Resign Shaq at vet min...resign Luvu... and pick up a CB for depth. Then BPA all through the draft.
  23. The Oline can always be upgraded. That said, you bring in another Oline coach and grab two scheme specific Guards. Ickey-BC-Bozeman-Corbett-Moton Get away from the our current blocking scheme and go back to what worked. Worst case BC-Ickey-Boze-FA Guard-Moton.. But 60% of our line needs to run out of a power man scheme to shine, esp Bozeman. With Corbett and BC backing up the G spots. Both of them could technically start but I we need some new energy infused on that line. Grab a running back and put him infront of Sanders (pay cut). Grab either Corum, Brooks, Estime, Irving, Benson, or Johnson (whoever is still there in the 4th round)or just bring back Foreman. TE: 3rd Round pick - Jahiem Bell or Brevyn Spann Ford. Keep Sullivan and Tremble around. WR: Resign Shenault and ISM. Tee Higgins would be my choice but reality says Curtis Samuel. Grab a playmaker at #33 and pick up Ricky Pearshall in the 5th and we're atleast respectable again. Mingo was always a development pick but I'd expect his biggest jump to come year three. New HC..hopefully an innovative playcaller who can correct and adapt in real-time. And thats just the offense. We just need a damn identity and furthermore a whole new culture shift in the stadium.
  24. That's a WILD stat... honestly thought you were going to type "the most in Panthers history." Yea, he's the must sign. Scary part is he probably hasn't even had the luxury of NFL top level coaching since he's been here, which means he probably still hasn't peaked. That's crazy to think about. Glad to see him finally get some recognition. Well deserved.
