The more I think about this the more I like it. He is by no means past his prime and has played at a high level. He wont command more than a couple million a year (which is what we paid Bell last season) and there is literally no way he could be worse than bell or Chandler. 100000000% sarcastic. I love Dez as a player but there is a zero percent chance we could afford him. I've read a couple of different things on the matter. Some reports imply its a recent event. If that's the case then he's done. I've also read where the event on video is apparently from several seasons ago. If that was the case.... I cant imagine him getting anything more than a fine... if that. Although I didn't think Hardy could possibly sit out a whole season for an event that transpired before the new rule was in place.

This absolutely seems like a ploy by someone somwhere to drive down the cost of his contract. It's a shame. He was a headcase early on and caught his fair share of flack but by all accounts has turned his life around (much like Brandon Marshall) Real shame for one of the best in the game.
