Nothing else needs to be said. You have two weeks to prepare for the 3-10 Saints after getting bullied the first go around. You don't deserve sh*t if you can't even beat em once. This team is simply not ready for the big lights, and I don't think we ever will be unless we get another Cam.

The league average PPG currently is 23.1. We held them to 20 points. Defense absolutely deserves blame for that BS gameplan, but they still held an NFL team under the average PPG, it's up to your "franchise" QB to make some plays to win you the game. Shough was able to do it. 163 yards ain't going to get it done majority of the time.

It is what it is, no serious playoff contender is losing to the Saints TWICE in one year -

Holy fuggin sh*t what a fuggin throw!!!!!!!!!!! -
I look at it like this, if we get swept by the 3-10 Saints, then we have no business even talking about playoffs in the first place.

Would be the most Panthers thing ever lol

Where are people getting this angle from? Everything I've seen and heard from him this year has been very mature and professional response. What am I missing here? I guess it's the same way Cam got the narrative that he was a spoiled brat and didn't care about his teammates.

I mean, there's a reason some of us were clamoring for Shedeur when he kept falling in the draft. There was zero reason not to draft him, rather for potential competition or as a quality backup, instead we drafted some dude named Cam Jackson who doesn't even get activated. I don't get the hate for the kid. His performance isn't a surprise to me in the slightest. I watched many Colorado games, and everytime I turned the tv on Shedeur was slicing up a defense with precision and ease. It is what is at this point, we're stuck with Bryce for the foreseeable future. Browns aren't trading Shedeur anyway, unless Stefanski really does hate Shedeur like their fans and the media says, and going by the fact that he took him out with the game on the line, it is very possible. That would then involve Tepper giving the ok to trade for him in the first place which ain't happening lol

Wow. These last 4 weeks are going to be absolutely insane lol We literally control our own destiny. When's the last time we could say that?

3 back to back 300+ yd games with a 8-2 td-int isn't "potential" to you as a first year starter? If Bryce Young did that, he would be getting non stopped praised and handed an extension. Howell showed more in his first year starting than Bryce has whole whole career.
-
I mean, ups and downs are to be expected for a 23 year old first year starter. But he showed huge potential all season and has a huge arm. All I'm saying is all these castoffs and terrible 2nd year QBs continue to get chance after chance, while Sam Howell has proven he can throw in this league and doesn't even get an opportunity to start on another team after a decent year as a first year starter.
-
Why Sam Howell hasn't been given another chance to start on a team after putting up decent numbers on a bad commanders team running for his life (most sacked QB in the league in 2023) is beyond me, especially when you have the likes of Geno Smith, Bryce Young, JJ McCarthy, Justin Fields, Tyrod Taylor, Trevor Lawrence, and Tua still being given a chance. In 2023: Passing yards (15th) Completion % (14th) Total TDs (12th) YPG (17th) QBR (24th) I think Sam Howell would absolutely kill it in Canales' system. Throw a late rounder the Eagles way and go get him. Still only 25 too. Low risk high reward.
-
Was literally about to say exactly this. I have absolutely no problem with this if we actually bring in legit competition (either by FA or draft).

Canales and Curhan go back to their Seattle days.

All people (that get millions) had to do was watch that LSU game against Bryce in 2022. What they did in that game was the closest thing Bryce was going to see every Sunday, and he struggled mightily. It's kind of ironic, that game was the most Bryce game ever. He threw a redzone int early, it took him 51 passes to even crack 300 yds, he held onto the ball too long, he couldn't see down the middle because LSU was busting up the middle, he short armed a bunch of throws, etc. You would think our scouts and FO that get paid millions would have easily saw this red flag, yet they chose to ignore it and based their decision of his backyard football highlight tape lol Meanwhile CJ Stroud faced a defense that was going to be similar to what he was going to see every Sunday and passed with flying colors.

Preach brotha. Just another case of "the huddle was right" yet again. To be fair though, Ben Johnson was NEVER coming here. He noped tf outta here after his first interview. Adam Peters didn't even want anything to do with us either. Smart football minds are avoiding Tepper like the plague. Speaks volumes.
