  1. I’m sure Reich will listen to input from the rest of the team. He hired people he respects for a reason. If he’s close between Stroud and Young, someone else might be able to add something he didn’t think of, and that might sway his opinion. At least that is how a good leader should do it, and I think he is one.
  2. Or now maybe they are at the same level, or maybe he is still behind Stroud but the gap is closer, or he was way ahead and is now miles ahead, or…
  3. That’s what I took away as well. They won’t even work out during their visits, it is all about the other important aspects you might not see as easily from only game tape.
  4. I haven’t seen many Bama games, but this is my concern. He’s awesome at out of structure plays, but does he actually do so many of them because he isn’t taking what’s already there? That’s my impression from the limited games I’ve seen. And that’s one more reason why I’m in the Stroud camp.
  5. Young didn’t have the traditional Alabama supporting cast this year, on the other hand the SEC defenses were far from great this year. Young is awesome to watch, but will he be able run around in the NFL? I’m not sure to be honest. Everyone is bigger and faster in the NFL. I hope he can, a fun player to watch. I believe the Stroud we saw in the Georgia game is the real Stroud, so he’s still my guy. But I absolutely see the appeal of Young.
  6. This is such a weird take. Just because someone prefers Stroud and think Young has a high risk of getting injured, he or she is not allowed to cheer for Young if we pick him and he’s successful? Good grief, some of the Young supporters…
  7. I feel Colts are a bit odd in general. Not sure what Ballard is up to.
  8. Yes that is really odd, unless they know something. On the other hand, they might just bring him in for a private workout instead. But it is odd.
  9. I’ve asked the same question. How do we know that Stroud isn’t close to Young when it comes to processing? It seems to be an assumption based on nothing.
  10. I’m for Stroud. I think he’s the better passer and I think the Stroud we saw against Georgia is the real Stroud. So he has plenty of upside while Young is closer to being maxed out. Young is also great, but I would be slightly disappointed.
  11. Sounds like the FA WRs are struggling with their market value. Panthers should stand firm and not overpay.
  12. I remember you were all in on Stroud waaaay back. I don’t follow college ball as closely so it has taken me a while to catch up, but I’m all in on Stroud as well.
  13. Young’s actual playing weight is closer to 180 if I understand correctly. Wilson played at 205, so it is a huge difference. Maybe Young can play at 205, but if so, why didn’t he?
  14. That was kind of my point, we know what Young do/can do, we don’t know if Stroud is very similar or not. E.g. we know that Levis struggles.
  15. We know that Young’s processing is awesome, but I also haven’t heard anything negative about Stroud’s processing. Have we seen any analyst say Stroud is not as good of a processor? Do we have any proof that he is not on the same level? Just because he isn’t running around like Young? That’s more a playing style thing in my mind. And to clarify, I’m totally open to this being the case, but I’m curious if anyone can back this up outside of just a random opinion?
  16. I don’t disagree, I just think Stroud is more the type he is looking for.
  17. I still believe they are looking for a QB to play mostly within the system, which is clearly Stroud to me.
  18. Always felt meh about him, but he’s a solid all around TE, and that will be great for our rookie QB. Now we can also draft and develop a young TE. TEs usually take a while before they contribute. I’m just waiting to see what the cost is.
  19. Still think Austin Hopper would be a great value at TE. A bit meh on Hurst.
  20. That would make Elijah Moore expendable. He’s going in to his third year. Not sure how good he’s been, hard to tell when you play for the Jets.
  21. Exactly, but that shouldn’t stop us from trying to improve. I just thought that was an odd way to think about it.
  22. I think we need a #1, but we also need a deep threat. They are not mutually exclusive.
