Yeah, I'm hoping we have a plan at WR. Maybe free agent.. draft one in the 2nd or 3rd. But WR room needs to be shored up.. and I think the new Panther brain trust will address this

As we know, NOTHING IS GUARANTEED WHEN MAKING A DRAFT PICK. We have been treading water for 5 years. Signing a veteran QB could work, but that's not guaranteed any more than picking number one overall. Tepper is taking a swing.. trying. Not sitting still and having a mediocre future . I don't think we're through either. I think we'll have a new WR via free agency , maybe draft, or both

From what I'm reading here.. most of us think we are going to pick C J Stroud at QB .. great . But what if we don't ,, what if the Panther brain trust picks, Bryce Young, or Levis, or Richardson .. Will you have a melt down ?? We don't want a Trey Lance .. We all have been reading that Anthony Richardson has MOVED UP THE DRAFT BOARD,, MAYBE EVEN, NUMBER 1 OVERALL.. I was shaking my head, but what do I know versus our coaches and general manager .. They make all the Cam comparisons , but they leave out how Cam senior year, he was a winner in college. Richardson at a major college, Florida , wasn't a winner there. I still vote for C J Stroud

DJ Moore was OUR number 1 WR.. But I don't think he's top 32 WR. We love him because he's ours. There are many teams with 2 WR that are better than DJ . DJ hasn't has a good QB or coaching . So he can get better. I never liked his ability to separate from defenders. I LOVED his ability to get yards after the catch. This can be a good trade for us. At least we are taking a swing. We're trying. No guarantees that the QB we want will be a HOF or even good. But we have been barely treading water for 5 yrs . Tepper IS MAKING EFFORTS .. Coaches and a NEW NUMBER ONE QB .. Nothing is guaranteed. BUT HE'S TRYING

OR,, lol,, they don't trade up , giving 3 years worth of draft picks lol , and the Jets do,, or Tenn, etc.. Some here will have a melt down. I read somewhere there's like a 20-25% chance of hitting a franchise QB pick in the early draft. So either way ,, we pick QB x.. the 70% who wanted QB y or z they will be slamming the pick and every time QB Y or Z does anything over the next two years , will post it. Or if we don't trade up and say the Jets or the Falcons, or Tenn or some other team does,, it doesn't matter what they gave up,, half the fans will be posting non stop... It happens

All these teams are in need of a QB now. Teams behind us in the draft might try to trade up for the #1 Chicago pick #3 Arizona pick, or Detroit at #6 etc.. So just saying " trade up" isn't as easy as we on the message board thinks. There are others saying the same thing. 2 Texas 4 Indianapolis 5 Seattle ( geno smith contract is 3 years, they'll need to draft one at some point ) 7 Las Vegas 8 Atlanta 9 Carolina 11 Tennessee 12 Texans again , 13 NY Jets 19 Tampa Bay

As Linville Gorge pointed out, there could be a generational QB in this draft.. but when I refer to a generational QB, I'm referring to the QB coming out that is almost a sure shot to be that person..Payton Manning, Andrew Luck, Cam Newton . So yes, there might be a QB that turns out to be a HOF. So we have needs at other positions. NO MORE NEEDS THAN QB,, but no one has convinced me that the top 5 QB's are a road to the super bowl. So don't spend draft capital on someone who's a maybe. Pick the best one one available at 9 .. then go after the teams other needs. I'm not against trying to pick up Carr for under $35 mill ,, and give a young QB a little time learning the speed of the NFL . It's just my opinion. If in 5 years Levis might be a great QB .. and all the Levis fans will say I told you so. But all we have to do is look at the past 10 years of QBs drafted in the first round to see the ones that didn't make it. I'd love to see Carrol play great,, but I have my doubts

I don't want to trade up. Stay at 9 and draft responsibly . LOOK AT ALL THE EARLY FIRST ROUND QB's that just don't come close to making it. I want a QB , but there are no generational QB's in this draft. Could any become Hall of Famers, YES, but too much draft capital would be spent guessing which one.

As much as we rag on Rhule.. he is the one that signed a 60 + million $$$$ contract.. That IQ worked.. ( ability to coach NFL players,, not so much ) SMART IQ / ATHLETIC = Luke Kuechly ..

Obviously we’re waiting to hire a TE coach till we have a Tight End that can be a part of the offense ( catch and run ) . might not hire a TE coach till hell freezes over ( after the draft ). WR coach ,, we are soooooo close to needing one. This will happen sooner than later .

The new coach must have to bring agood TE ,that catches , with him ?

My option, not available lol.. Sigh Carr, and draft the best QB available at 9 , Release , trade, hide them, ALL the QB's but Corral . Derek Carr. Matt Corral, and who we draft at 9

I don't believe Jon Snow's post is accurate, but I won't attack him personally. I believe it's more Rhule than Tepper. I think Tepper wants to win.. and if he hires Rhule, he's going to give the Rhule what he wants. Right or wrong, ( In the Rhule case it was very wrong ) Tepper wasn't picking these players.. the coaches GM come to him to sign him etc. I still want Reich picking the QB over Tepper,, but I want Tepper to sign off on what coaches and GM want.. Hmmmm.. that's a lot of talent on 1 coaching staff .. I hope it's not like the Phil Eagles a few years back when they signed so many free agents with a lot of talent, but they couldn't play together.. Whoo ,, lots of coaching talent .

This isn't directed at you CRA personally, but when fans say move up to get Stroud.. no one knows what you ( THE PANTHERS ) would have to give up to do this. A first and 2 seconds. ? 2 first and 2 seconds ? a 1st and 2 seconds and 3rd ??? So how can anyone say " move up to get Stroud " ?? I think he's got a good chance of making it to be a franchise QB.. but he's not a Cam, Andrew Luck, Payton Manning, etc .. So giving up draft picks for a maybe .. I'm not for it. Not when a Richardson, Hooker, or Levis might be just as good with a chance to learn for a year or more .

We know the talk will be about the defensive holding. But the Chiefs were down by 10 at the half. They dominate on offense. The vaunted defensive line of the Eagles was held at bay. Did they even get a sack ?? The Eagles got beat the whole second half.
