Hot damn! I thought I had seen earlier that this was only on the nfl network and I'd have to go to a bar to watch. Nothing against bars for music or raisin hell, but I prefer football on my couch! Plus the beers are cheaper and I'm guaranteed to get lucky with the waitress as long as I did laundry and vacuumed this afternoon!

Doesn't it feel downright wrong to be talking about the AFC East and be completely disregarding the pats?? they completely dominated that pansy-ass conference for so long.
-
I wouldn't make the favorites over those 2 either, BUT they are certainly in the running. If they did make it to the SB, I wouldn't be surprised.

I would argue that they absolutely edit to make the Jets look good. The panthers looking bad is just a byproduct. Full disclosure, I didn't watch the game or this episode of hard knocks. Also, from the highlights (if you can call them that) of the game I saw, we didn't need much help looking bad Saturday.

He's right though. Can we play that speech in OUR o-line room? They need to hear it.

Hard knocks is doing everything in it's power to portray AR as NOT the whackjob asshole a lot of people thinks he is. Whether he is or not, dude can still play with the best of them. Jets are going to be a force to be reckoned with this season.

Been waiting for this... BY on QB School
shaqattaq replied to TheCasillas's topic in Carolina Panthers
Right, no other way we go from bullying them in 11 vs 11 in practice to being embarrassed a few days later. O line has shown that they can be solid all of last year (except RG, but that wasn't the only position getting taken to the wood shed). We'll be OK when it counts. -
He's working with the trainer to remove Campen's shoe from his ass!

Robinson seems like the kind of guy that won't forget that anytime soon.

It’s not to suggest he didn’t suck Maybe we just keep him at FB.

I'm sure it felt longer for Bryce! -

I thought that too. -
Who impressed and who sucked - preseason game 1
shaqattaq replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I read the following: "Bryce Young and Matt Corral were under constant duress. Whether it was the first team or the backups, nobody aside from perhaps starting left guard Brady Christensen can look back on their performance fondly." Did Christensen suck less that the rest of the line? I wasn't able to watch the game Saturday. -
What are 5 points you looking for tomorrow?
shaqattaq replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
I want to see how our backup CB's perform. Honestly, with Horn and Jackson both coming off injuries, there is no reason why either should get more than 1 set of downs, if that. I wonder if Henderson can be coached up to play good enough, and I want Taylor to finally take a step up to be consistent depth. Also want to see the 3-4 D since I'm not as up on that system as I want to be. Bryce mudderfuggin Young!!!!! edit: Excited to see Hubbard playing RB1, and how much size he's gained. -
how important is it that we win preseason games?
shaqattaq replied to rayzor's topic in Carolina Panthers
Just pray that everyone gets through preseason uninjured. The only ones who it matters for are the fringe players fighting for one of the few roster spots not already determined. That being said...I hope we win, lol! -
I love this! The perfect 1 word for Ron's game plan anytime we got 8 points ahead.

I saw that too, but Burns is full of poo. We've patched LB and Edge with aging vets, but our CB depth still scares me to death.

Things to Watch this Preseason: Guard Play
shaqattaq replied to BlackPanther22's topic in Carolina Panthers
Good stuff @BlackPanther22. On the offensive side of the ball, this is our biggest question mark. Everything else seems settled except who the #6 WR will be, and Byrd's injury pretty much settled that. FWIW, I think Mays has everything needed to be a starter at RG, at least until Corbett returns. McCray might be getting looks because he's the vet and Mays is still figuring it out. I also am a big fan of Christensen, but I think he's missing that mean streak that Zavala had at State. I don't think Zavala pushes for RG anytime soon though. I heard a lineman say one time that moving from one side of the line to the other was like wiping your ass with your left hand... it's possible, but it doesn't feel right. -
I wasn't adamant, but I definitely was on the Stroud train until a week or 2 after pro days. I am 100% onboard with Bryce now (I was wrong), obviously, but I won't judge Stroud too harshly yet.

Unless I'm off on the rules, that's not a catch. His left fot definitely touches out of bounds before he secures the catch. Nice hustle though, good for him.
