  1. I don't particularly see Canales as someone that develops QBs that dropped into the late rounds, which is what you want as a backup. Not saying he can't, we've just never seen it. He's more of a bring a soon to be bust guy back from the dead kind of coach. In Seattle, he did nothing with Wilson, but got Geno playing up to his #39 pick potential, when everyone had him slated as a perennial back up. In Tampa he semi-resurrected Mayfield, who had played his ass off in LA after we traded him. He was brought here to make sure that Bryce didn't immediately wash out after we bet the farm to trade up for him, And let's face it, that's the direction Bryce was heading.
  2. I said in the Shemar Stewart thread that I thought it was a good trade off, First round picks get fully guaranteed contracts and teams get the 5th year option. That's just fair! Maybe a sliding scale could work to avoid this type of shenanigans, 2nd round 90% guaranteed, 3rd round 80%... just my off season ramblings.
  3. Maybe it stems from the fact that they were so bad for so long while I was growing up. It's hard to hate a team and pity them at the same time. Unfortunately, it makes me wonder if anyone really HATES the panthers right now (outside of the NFCS).
  4. I DO feel the same...no explanation other than I grew up watching them. Honestly, if they were in another division I would wish them nothing but the best (now that that turd Brady is gone).
  5. I'm not so secretly pulling for him! I really think that a year's experience in the nfl and TMac taking the D's emphasis off of him will open up his game tremendously. TMac, XL and Theilen are all starter quality WR's (I didn't say elite)! I would argue that the Panther's have only had 3 starter caliber receivers when Smitty, Moose and Proehl graced our field... until now.
  6. At 5'10", 176 pounds! Out there eating up double teams!
  7. TBF... Her was standing on dry land in an immaculate white T-shirt before his boy got stuck.
  8. Same. It didn't take for me either.

  10. JEEZ... It's refreshing to be having a preseason discussion about which promising WR we have to cut instead of which crappy WR we have to keep! Loved DMo as a player, Loving him as a GM!
  11. I was assuming Blackshear was gone anyway. Or at least PS.
  12. I literally read this 15 minutes ago, but it sums up my feelings perfectly. FYI, the article was about 3 players on the bubble. The author's opinion seems to be Horn is a lock and Renfrow and Moore are fighting for that last spot. David Moore, WR The Panthers' wide receiver room is crowded. There aren't many available spots, at least from the outside looking in. That raises the stakes considerably for those further down the pecking order fighting for recognition. David Moore is among them. The former seventh-round selection is a trusted ally of Dave Canales from three separate NFL stops. He's a solid if not spectacular player, although he underwhelmed when tasked with significant responsibilities during the previous campaign. Moore is battling it out for the sixth wideout spot alongside Hunter Renfrow, Kobe Hudson, and Jacolby George. It could go either way, but Canales' faith and his ability to impact special teams might be enough to get a reprieve."
  13. We gonna be drafting that kid to play D-line in about 12 years! Boy's got moves!
  14. I know that I'm biased because he's probably my all time favorite player, but I hate not to see Greg Olsen on this list! Gronk, Kelce, Gonzalez, and Gates are obvious choices, but Greg was a beast as a blocker & catcher. Not everyone on this list can say that. Couldn't we put 1 more on the PS, please??
  15. Happy Gilmore 2 is on the way as well. Live large!
  16. We're going to have several (4-5 by my count) rookie starters and several starters on D that were on other teams last year. They need a lot more preseason snaps, especially the rookies! NFL is a big jump from college ball. And as it has already been pointed out, we need to hit the ground running and win those early game!
