  1. Man, I like Wilkes. I wish him nothing but the best.
  2. IKR?!? He'll be back tomorrow on PS, so I don't feel too bad. We have 0 WR's on PS so far.
  3. My guess would be numbers. That's how a lot of guys get out there. Also possible they were hoping to get him back on the practice squad. I posted elsewhere as well but, from saints wire: " The Saints almost undoubtedly want Throckmorton back on their practice squad, but it’s unlikely he’ll clear waivers. Few players with his combination of age (he just turned 27 on Aug. 16) and NFL game experience (he’s totaled 1,398 snaps) will be available, and offensive linemen are always valued in the league. Hopefully he stays in New Orleans, but don’t bet on it. Buy Saints Tickets Offseason additions like fourth-round rookie draft pick Nick Saldiveri and the decision to move James Hurst to left guard, pushing Andrus Peat down the depth chart, made Throckmorton expendable.
  4. The man doesn't play like he's 5'9" and 185! The likes to hit!
  5. Not to mention the 5 TE's still on the team! We cut Corral, Dereck Wright, and Wooton to make room.

  7. So announcements should start around noon. good to know.
  8. Damn, He ran his ass off last week. I wonder just how injured he is?
  9. I had an epiphany in the shower and wasn't sure where to post it. I didn't want to start a new thread or hijack 1 of the cut threads. It's so simple that I cannot believe that another huddle GM hasn't come up with yet, we can solve our QB3 and our power back in 1 glorious move! Since he'd be qb3, he wouldn't count in our 46 gameday limit, AND he's already said that he would back up Young. It's a win, win, win! Bringing him back for the 3rd time could be the charm!
  10. Anyone with less that 4 years experience has to clear waivers.
  11. Decent CB depth and can provide info for week 2. Yes plz.
  12. According to the official roster, we still have Deshaun Williams, Nick Thurman and some guy named LaBryan Ray (never heard of him).
  13. They will have to eat money if they cut Thomas no? I like Ricci as a third TE. Hell, we still have Sullivan on the roster. He'll go before either of these 2.
  14. What does this mean? Bryce mentioned having developed a chemistry with Derek Wright. Hence Wright was a better fit than Shi Smith. I assume that with 7 WR's on the roster (as of now), he's still in the hot seat.
  15. Same story every year... New guys will learn the next few weeks as backups and special teamers. All Smith-Marsette needs to know right away is 1. run fast. 2. run straight. 3. don't drop the frikkin ball.
  16. I didn't know Anderson was hurt.
  17. WOW! This guy was on fire against the giants.
  18. At least he Finally knows! Now he can run Howell into the ground for 5-6 seasons and maybe squeak out a playoff appearance or 2 in the process.
  19. Good stuff! I know that there's a lot going on today with it being cut day, but I'm genuinely surprised that no one has commented on this. I bet if it was another "our o-line sucks" overreaction piece, we'd be 5-6 pages deep by now! Another take away from this that seems to be unpopular...Christensen is good. I've felt that all along. He's no Mauler, but he continues to play clean, smart football for the most part.
