  1. I really want a mid round slot WR who is already a route tree, YAC guy WITH PROVEN COLLEGE PRODUCTION. Not a allstar, but a smart, hard-worker. There's always a handful of these guys in the 3rd and 4th rounds that go on to have solid careers. I have not done the research this year to know who that guy is, but am open to opinions.
  2. Morgan said that he wanted to be a running offense. Last year he brings in the best 2 guard FA's and locks down Chuba long term. SO FAR, this year he's resigned Corbett, kept Mays, resigned Tremble who is a damned good blocker, regardless of whether you like his catching ability, and signed a top RB FA with proven NFL production last season. Also finally got out from under the terrible Sanders contract. Great job IMO.
  3. So, we swoop in last year and draft Brooks out from under Dallas last year. He re-injures himself and will miss all of 2025, so we sign their 2024 starter. "In his first year as a starter, Dowdle ran for 1,079 yards (12th in the NFL) with 5 touchdowns, adding 249 receiving yards for a total of 1,328 all-purpose yards — a breakout season that put him on the map." 1 year deal makes it sound like Brooks is still the long term plan., but I like this signing. PLUS we get to screw Dallas in the process. Win win.
  4. Drafting a TE at #8 puts a knot in my stomach, but there's a really good chance that he could be BPA. He immediately improves all areas on offense, it's hard not to like him.
  5. This is an excellent synopsis! Our WR group is a 34 year old man who has had a hellova career, but can't keep it up forever. A draft reach who only produced 1 season in college and was seen as a project with a tremendous ceiling IF he hits his potential. I really hope that 2024 was essentially a redshirt year for him. And finally a UDFA that didn't get any real time until we were more than halfway through last season. AND THAT'S ALL. We need at least 3 more players, one of which has to start day 1.
  6. If you look at previous performances, my old, fatass would make a notable difference! Still, I like Morgan so far. No marquee players (this year), but solid guys looking to play a larger role. And building from the trenches out!!!
  7. I think we have to wait until tomorrow for exact details. Or maybe not: Update on the Patrick Jones II deal with the #Panthers: Base value is $15 million over two years, per league source. Previously reported, as others, incentives can bring it up to $20 million.
  8. Yeah, but in a bad draft year for QB's... he's definitely a starter in 2025. Hence the rumor of a big money, short term deal. THEN he spends his early 30's as a backup / mentor. Hell, Dalton was full on choke artist every year Cinci made it to the playoffs... I mean terrible, but I'm glad he's here now.
  9. Like my drunk uncle used to say' "If she's too thicc, you ain't got enough dicc"!
  10. Preferably one without a history of ACL tears this time!!!
  11. Leggette was so raw (only 1 year of actual production) that I really never expected him to go TF off his rookie season. I DID expect him to be better than he was, so here's hoping for a big jump this year!
  12. True...the whole damn world knew that we were going after Legette last year.
  13. Their 18 and 82 for our 8? Maybe. Their 18 and 50? Hell yeah!!
  14. One of the top 2 OT's should still be there, so that could be a trade option.
