Ya that’s the thing. I think we are positioning Svech to anchor either the 2 or 3 in a year or two without Nino, Tro and Staal. I don’t see a way we don’t at least test Jarvis at camp and potentially on the roster earlier this year. Even if we pick up Tarasenko we’re still in reality a man or two down in the forwards. I agree Lorentz might be a standard 4th line starter this year, Necas I see . But I really wasn’t impressed with our depth at the end of last season. I’d really like to see us bringing in a solid 1st line left winger to pair with Aho and Teuvo. Let Svech continue to learn to anchor his own line and let Necas middle between the three. That’s the thing about Tarasenko, he’s another high powered right winger, which we have a wealth of. We really need someone that can truly compliment and improve our one line. Ya Svech could be that guy, but we know rods propensity to pull svech off that line if things aren’t clicking.

Eh, you’d think and I tend to agree but implying we don’t have the deep ball does speak to this situation.

We still need a complete OL(and is now looking like OL coach) makeover. I’ve never been big on dedicating a draft to a singular position but next year we have to scrape the barrel for OL’s.

I’d still go Davis, Luke. Ryan in his prime might actually fix our OL(he could read a defense better than anyone) though. Ya gross would be great but we’ve barely had line adjustments since Kalil left. And that was what? 3-4 seasons ago?

I like the dude, but like I’ve been saying since 2019. The dude is Guaranteed to miss 1 out of every three kicks or more. It’s not sustainable.

Though honestly if DJ had two halves like he did yesterday he’d be tops. I like that we had him running almost every route too.

In all seriousness though. Yes. I don’t think we can carry him at CB. Too much competition, he doesn’t seem to have the proper physique and skill set to play CB.

He took the outside/high leverage really nice there even though he was slightly off balance.

Sometimes a change of venue is exactly what’s needed.

Why we didn’t draft a true C to replace Paradis I’ll never know.
