  1. I was thinking the same. I think they are targeting guys that are going to be in the latter part of round one and early in round two. I think they would like to maneuver and walk away with 2-3 of these guys
  2. I didn't defend anyone. You're projecting. I want the team to be better. If that means drafting another offensive weapon, then so be it. But to suggest we would be good to great on offense if Bryce were replaced is a stretch. We have holes, issues and question marks all over the offensive roster.
  3. So because Cam elevated players around him, he didn't deserve more help, and because you feel Bryce doesn't elevate players around him, he also doesn't deserve more help. Got it. Sink or swim as a QB in Carolina is a great message to send out to the league and potential future players.
  4. Trevon Moehrig, Turk Wharton, Bobby Brown, Jaelen Phillips, Devin Lloyd, Nic Scourton Giving him 6 starters in 2 offseasons that cost boat loads of money or a 2nd round pick... Not exactly handing the man scraps. The point of the draft is to make the team better. You want to make this about Bryce. It isn't. It's about improving the team. And if anyone can look at our offense and go "we're good", they are lying to themselves. You give quarterbacks weapons. We SCREAMED for YEARS to give Cam some help. But now because we are trying to do it for Bryce, you all are saying we are coddling him because of his "deficiencies". It's a double-standard because you don't like the guy, clearly. But even if he does fail, guess what? The next guy has help too. Win-win.
  5. Tight ends in the first round just have so much risk. Even guys that look like guarantees at the position, fail. OJ Howard is a big one that comes to mind (and I REALLY liked him and thought he was going to be a stud in the NFL). I know that every player/position can be a gamble, but when you look at Kyle Pitts (he's come a long way, but he has clearly underperformed), TJ Hockenson, Hayden Hurst, Noah Fant, Eric Ebron, etc., NONE of these guys changed the dynamic of their team for the better. Zero. In fact, most of them end up being traded before their rookie deal is up. This draft has some good tight ends. I wouldn't spend a 1st on one.
  6. Guess who is NFL.com's comp for Max Iheanachor? Taylor Moton. Part of me does wonder if Moton might retire before the season. Kaleb McGary just retired yesterday, and Moton was tempted to retire before last season.
  7. ??? Chuba is our starter and if he goes down, we have a roster of question marks. This is looking at options to possibly compete for a roster spot. These guys project to be mid to late round guys, at best.
  8. He's a dude on the field, but I would be doing a ton of research about him character-wise. I could see some teams worrying about him in the locker room after how poorly his interviews have reportedly gone.
  9. Well, one thing is true... We clearly want to walk away from the draft/undrafted free agency with a guy we believe we can develop. This is the 3rd top 30 visit with a QB and the 4th notable visit with one.
  10. He's right about the explosiveness though. KC is more dynamic than XL and Mingo. That being said, this was an interesting find. Teams should maybe be looking at this as an indicator of success in the NFL. Id be curious to see the guys at the top of that list.
  11. I think I'd use it for that and for medicals, mostly.
  12. I believe we do like Miller a lot. Probably a real possibility in the 1st. And no to Terrell, especially trading up into the first to get him. I can't imagine what it would cost to do it.
  13. I thought it might be helpful to have a running list of prospects the Panthers have met with, especially with Top 30 visits. I can update the list as more info comes in. Top 30 Visits and Meetings: QB Sawyer Robertson QB Behran Morton (30) QB Haynes King (30) RB Kaelon Black (30) RB Emmett Johnson WR KC Concepcion (30) WR Omar Cooper Jr. (30) WR De'Zhaun Stribling WR Caleb Douglas WR Kajiya Hollowayne WR Malik Benson WR Jordan Hudson TE Dae'quan Wright (30) TE Oscar Delp (30) TE Eli Raridon TE John Michael Gillenborg OG Chase Bisontis (30) OG Walker Parks OG Kobe Baynes OT Carver Willis OT Travis Burke (30) OT Tristan Leigh LB Sonny Styles LB Jacob Rodriguez LB Jake Golday LB Jimmy Rolder LB Anthony Hill, Jr. LB Wesley Bissainthe LB Khalil Jacobs LB Kaleb Elarms-Orr DT Kayden McDonald DT Jayden Loving DT Lee Hunter DT Tyler Onyedim (30) DT Kevin Jobity, Jr. EDGE Nathan Voorhis EDGE Dion Wilson, Jr. EDGE Keldric Faulk CB Malik Muhammad (30) CB Daylen Everette S AJ Haulcy (30) S Jalon Kilgore (30) S Ike Larsen K Chris Freeman P Anthony Beacom
  14. If Caleb Lomu is available at 51 and we pass on him, we are complete idiots
  15. I think this is where I'm at too. I'd say the turnaround really started once Tillis got a bigger voice in the room. All of a sudden we started making better draft picks and personnel moves. Which is why I didn't want to lose him to the Falcons.
  16. You don't sign former 2nd round picks in March as "camp bodies" Most "camp bodies" come in the form of undrafted free agents
  17. I hope we do switch; I'm tired of being gouged in the run game. Although, I like DB more as a 3-tech than a nose.
  18. I used to appreciate the site up until a couple of years ago, when it seemed like his "sources" were becoming less and less reliable. Now the site is just pitiful.
  19. Lance Zierlein is an idiot. He just put out his mock draft and has the Panthers trading up to 14 for Akeem Mesidor and PASSING on Caleb Downs. Sheer idiocy.
  20. Slow time of the year for news, but I just feel like stirring the pot around here. Enjoy. https://youtu.be/-k69wEZvpnY?t=1365
  21. Looks like OT, LB, and S in rounds 1-3 to me.
  22. Carolina picks 2 players in round 1. One in the mid 20s and one in the 30s.
