  1. I'd say suggestions that LG might have gone a little overboard sometimes while talking about Darnold in the offseason are probably fair (guessing he might now see that too). His analysis in this thread though? I've seen plenty of examples of people trying to spin things to say they were right even when they're being proven wrong. I don't see that here. I see LG giving an honest and fair critique. And no, nobody is immune from criticism. In fifty years of watching football, I've yet to see a perfect quarterback. Hell, you can watch guys like Brady, Rodgers, Mahomes and whomever any given week and you'll see mistakes, missed opportunities, etc. If those guys are going to make mistakes, then obviously a guy who's being rebuilt from the ground up is going to make plenty. My offseason take was that I didn't know whether Darnold was going to be good or not, that being because...I didn't. Neither did anybody else if we're being honest but hey... As far as what I see now, I'd put him at the level of a promising rookie. And I'm pretty happy about that.
  2. Additional info from Lombardi... So yes, while they haven't done so just yet, they are at least exploring whether he can be fired for cause
  3. For an owner I don't think it's as much about knowing football as it is hiring people who do. Khan hired Urban Meyer and Trent Baalke
  4. How exactly do you step up when the guys in front of you are getting pushed back into your face?
  5. Back when Tommy Jone hurt Jake arm...
  6. Not just this past Sunday either. To be fair, it might just take some time for him to really transition over, but I'm pretty sure the early results aren't what they were hoping for.
  7. That was one thing I was hoping would get left behind when we parted ways with Fox and Rivera but it looks like it's still here. The smarter coaches play it like chess players. They try to anticipate adjustments the other team is going to make and act accordingly.
  8. What made it all that much more infuriating was that Darin Gantt wrote a pre-game column practically begging Fox to glue Chris Gamble to Larry Fitzgerald because he was pretty much the only real threat the Cardinals had at the time. That one's never gonna not sting
  9. Facts don't bother me at all. People thinking their opinions equate to facts. Yeah.
  10. I know some people hate hearing the "treat him like a rookie" line, but that approach actually seems to be working.
  11. Was thinking the same thing earlier. Zero to sh-t show in four games? That's gotta be a record.
  12. I'd say have Darnold sit out the third quarter but Walker would probably be even worse than that
  13. I watched it alongside an angry Cowboy fan who was still pissed that we had beaten them in the prior game
  14. Are you sure you're sacrificing?
  15. Plus, as someone else pointed out in another thread, one of the most inexperienced coaching staffs at the pro level.
  16. I could see that. Mind you, after that video, there are other things he might be more likely to die of than a heart attack
  17. Yeah, John Fox killed us in that game just as much as Jake's bad day by sticking with that stupid left-right corner scheme and allowing the Cardinals to pick their matchups.
  18. That rushing game is what allowed them to salt it away in the second half though.
  19. Yeah, pretty sure that's the game I'm thinking of.
  20. From your initial post... Anyone who thinks Paradis was the worst pass protection guy needs to learn how to watch film. Oh no, that doesn't come across as arrogant at all That, plus I'm pretty sure before you edited it you said that what people needed to learn how to do was read PFF, which is even worse. Throw in this from above... I just happen to have informed opinions so they just happen to be right more often. Yeah, sure Again, if you've gotta tell me you're smart, you're not.
