  1. No, but it's fun sometimes Old Mom's Mabley joke: "They always tell me that if you're gonna talk about the dead, you should say something good." "He's dead. Good!"
  2. I never thought Brockermeyer was all that great.
  3. I'm pretty sure we already knew him. Probably a recycled Teddy troll. (which is kinda pathetic)
  4. Christian McCaffrey got injured last year. Will it happen again this year? Come on, "go out on a limb" with an actual prediction There are cases where I'm perfectly comfortable giving an opinion if I think the evidence points in a certain direction. There are also cases where the genuine answer is "You know what? I don't know." This happens to be one of those. Yes, Darnold has been bad in the past, but all of the mitigating circumstances that have been discussed as nauseum are equally valid. So who can say? I know sports talk these days is all about everyone having their take and "this is my opinion, come at me" and hall that bullsh-t, but I'm a little old for that and frankly, I find it boring. You think he'll suck. Our braintrust thinks he's worth a shot. We'll see who's right down the road.
  5. Is agree, especially since he and Darnold seem to have good chemistry. But hey, that's football.
  6. Here's my opinion. I don't know the future. Not sure why that's hard to understand. And no, your posts aren't "triggering" me, but they're definitely making my shake my head and wonder why the heck you're so emotional about this.
  7. The one thing that makes me ponder the possibility is that if I recall correctly, Anderson is in the last year of his contract with us. It's not unusual for GMs to try to get something out of a player in his final year if they don't think they'll be able to re-sign him.
  8. You've seriously gone off the rails on this topic dude. I've already said it's possible he won't be good here, but I'm hopeful that he will. What is it about that position that pisses you off so much?
  9. It's certainly possible, but I'd need a better source than Walter Football before I'd be willing to take it too seriously.
  10. Dude, the only person acting butthurt and defensive on this is you. You're absolutely dead set on the idea that Darnold is a bust and no good can possibly come of this. Fine, but some of us are either cautiously optimistic or at least just willing to wait and see what happens. No idea why that seems to offend you, but it does. Believe it or not, there does exist the possibility that you might be wrong.
  11. He did play several minutes in another game and looked awful.
  12. Consistently? No. But sometimes you have to. Being unwilling to take that kind of chance is what makes you a Teddy Bridgewater.
  13. Unfortunately, so is making a pronouncement about how good or bad a player is going to be based on their first play in preseason. It's stupid, but people continue to do it. And I'm sure this year will be no exception.
  14. If we're having any discussion like that early in the season, we're probably being premature.
  15. Assuming that he can't improve in a new situation with better coaching and support is kind of short-sighted too though. You don't know that.
  16. Self-awareness is a good thing. Some folks have too much ego to tell themselves the truth.
  17. Likely also an example of Ron's loyalty hurting his results. Eric Washington wasn't ready, but rather than move on, he tried to cover for him.
  18. To be fair, as far downfield as his route was, he probably wasn't expecting it to be thrown to him at all
  19. Jackson... Wonder what people's first question will be (the answer's in the clip)
  20. It's what you get when you have fans who care more about saying it first or staying it the loudest than about actually having an informed, well thought out opinion. (thank you so very much, sports talk radio)
  21. OTC or Spotrac? Which do you like better and why?
