The insider in this case would be our buddy Casillas. He has a couple of contacts that work within the organization and he's been able to get info on things before. His bringing this up makes me think it may be a real possibility. Lord it's just useless to talk to you As mentioned, it wasn't my idea nor my suggestion. It was a theory by Casillas regarding what might happen this offseason.

The article doesn't mention Borgonzi but does talk about Brandt Tilis, and it's worth noting that he interviewed with us the last time. Mind you, the emphasis for this article is mostly on underrated candidates, the people who aren't getting talked about as much.

Perhaps at personnel decisions, but per insiders he's done a good job at the other parts of running the team offices and such and is very well liked throughout the building. So given that knowledge, what would be the problem with committing him to those things, which also then leaves the next GM able to concentrate on personnel matters only?

I wouldn't say nobody wants to talk about that. Just a certain triggered few... That people object to the idea of him staying with the team in a non-personnel role just tells me their opinions are more emotional than logical.

Are we? I've only seen two or three people actually talk about that in this thread. There's been hardly any mention of the candidates listed. First response was about Fitterer and numerous other posts have stuck to that topic rather than actually talking about anything in the OP.

"Real GM duties" encompasses way more than just personnel decisions. There are dozens of other things involved across every department on the team. That's pretty standard for every team in the league. The idea would be to remove him from personnel decisions but keep him running other areas where he's reported to be doing a good job. As mentioned, that's what a lot of us used to wish would happen with Marty. It's also worth noting that it's a similar arrangement to what they have out in San Francisco. Adam Peters is in charge of anything personnel related while John Lynch handles everything else. As far as I know, we'd be the only other team with that sort of dynamic.

Throwing a Drink Could Land You in Jail Because of the definitions of assault, throwing a can of liquid at someone will most likely be considered aggravated assault. Even throwing water at someone can be considered assault because it may classified as harmful touching. However, if you fail to make contact, throw an empty can or bottle, or just get their shirt wet, it might only be considered basic assault. Is throwing a drink at someone considered assault?

I'm not sure anybody's good enough for that contract. But what's probably more relevant is that he's not a good fit for Sean Payton's system at all. Payton runs a very buttoned down, rigid system whereas most of Wilson's best plays come from off platform improvisation. Those two were never a good match.

Wilson and Payton we're always predicted to be a poor match, but it had to do with system fit and personality, not skin color. There's apparently a rumor now that Wilson could wind up joining Bill Belichick next season, and Lord have mercy would I want to see the "Hard Knocks" style video of that

The whole "oh, it's just about money" thing is a pretty dumb argument. If they believed he was the guy they could build a consistent winner around, they wouldn't give a sh-t about that stuff. Wilson is being benched because he's not good enough.
