  1. ESPN's Kim Jones has reported that two teams, the Ravens and the Rams, have dropped out of the bidding on Julio.
  2. I don't think they've specified that Chinn would be a strong safety. I know Person said a while back that they were planning on trying Chinn at free safety.
  3. As the old joke goes, "I don't have to be faster than the bear. I just have to be faster than you."
  4. Did you previously play tackle for the Texans? (like back during the David Carr years)
  5. The Eagles were were to take him before our pick (he was next up on their draft board) but Howie Roseman "went rogue" and took Jalen Hurts.
  6. Morrow is reported to be taking a reduced role. Joe Person described it as "a senior advisory role on the college scouting side". Despite his title (Executive Director of Player Personnel) Morrow was basically Director of College Scouting for the last few years. But the Panthers just gave that job and title to Washington scout Cole Spencer. In the NFL, moves like this frequently precede someone retiring. Makes me wonder if Morrow is going to spend a year helping Spencer get to know the scouting director job and then retire.
  7. Did you see that somewhere? If it was at the presser, I missed it.
  8. Side Note: Fitterer brought in a scout from his Seattle days. I'm not sure we had a national scout before.
  9. Rhule previously said if they could find two starting quality safeties, they'd continue to use Chinn the same way they did last year. I'm guessing so far, they're not feeling it. All that said, position designations these days don't mean as much as they used to
  10. The bigger problem we're referring to is that Rivera was basically kind of a chicken sh-t when it came to coaching Newton. Ron treated Can like he was too fragile to take hard coaching.
  11. I'm not sure who you're referring to
  12. Yeah, that's kind of how it's supposed to work. It's a good analogy. Reminds me of Bill Parcells "grocery shopping" comments.
  13. Maybe there's some hidden implication to the way he said "duh"
  14. I'm gonna agree with Basbear that Shula was actually good as a quarterback coach. He just wasn't suited to be an OC. Ron's talent evaluation skills weren't any better for coaches than they were for players.
  15. Well to be fair, Ken Dorsey looks like he's doing a damn good job with Josh Allen. Maybe if Rivera had supported him actually coaching instead of just being a buddy...
  16. I'd call it overblown speculation.
  17. DaQuan Jones wasn't there today either. And it's still all speculation.
  18. Official roster lists him at 245, Burns at 250 (those numbers are very fudgible of course). I remember Rhule mentioning in one of his post OTA answers that the team has encouraged Burns to gain weight, but they also don't want to compromise his athleticism.
  19. DJ Moore, Brian Burns, Jeremy Chinn and Ian Thomas.
  20. The "he's disgruntled" narrative is pretty much just fan speculation.
  21. Looking over the roster, part of me wonders if Miller makes it this year. Kind of feel like either he or Marquis Haynes will stick, but I'm not sure both will.
  22. I don't see them having that kind of dynamic. When you watch the video of the two of them together, it looks like a really good working relationship. Fitterer definitely ran the draft.
  23. He was speculated to have been a top choice for OC last year before we got Joe Brady.
  24. Does Miller look to be practicing with the defensive line or the outside linebackers? From the picture I'm guessing defensive line, but I thought I'd ask.
