  1. I don't want to see Bryce play one single snap behind anyone but the starting offensive line. Corral should see most of the reps. Give Bryce enough to get him comfortable. As a few others have noted, it's nice to have a coaching staff we can better trust with these decisions.
  2. I thought all along AE should have gotten looks at QB or at least those wildcat packages. Just don't see changing positions at that point. Yeah, it's been done, but I tell ya he was special as a QB. And as many others have said, with what we had behind center at the time, whew....
  3. I wish the best for the kid. I hope he ends up bringing us a ton of wins, and hope he’s a model citizen and never gets in any trouble. I have no idea what happened that night, but I’ve never hung out with guys that committed murder, and most of the athletes I pull for haven’t put themselves in that situation either.
  4. My main prediction is a complete overreaction by about a fourth of the Huddle fanbase saying we completely fugged this pick.
  5. Like Joe Montana saying "Hey, isn't that John Candy?" in the huddle during a game winning Super Bowl drive.
  6. I was leaning Stroud but the more I hear and see about Young the more I like him. The leadership, intangibles, accuracy, intelligence...all the things I want in my qb. Happy we are in the position we're in regardless, with this coaching staff.
  7. I'm with a lot of the group. I think both are good picks and have the potential to be franchise quarterbacks. I think Stroud is the safer pick because of his size, especially long term. Young could end up being the better of the two but I think he also has the most chance of durability issues. I'd be happy with either, but lean toward Stroud. And we won't know the best answer for several years.
  8. Would be a bit poetic if he stuck around a few years and won a ring here, wouldn't it? #amancandream
  9. And everyone here was butchering the coaching staff for not giving Baker all the reps.
  10. I'd give him a solid B, honestly. He is in an almost impossible situation. Contrary to what some people say, our roster has LOTS of holes, including the most important on the field. Darnold or PJ could be serviceable if we had dominance in other areas. I'd like to see Wilkes be under consideration as a possibility for head coach but I'm certainly not sold that the job should be his.
  11. Oh well. Ballgame. At least we have the Horne... oh wait, nevermind. I should have gone fishing today.
  12. Ok who is placing bets that the Steelers pick up this last 3rd down? Any chance we get a stop?
  13. Getting owned on third down and having our run game stuffed.... amazing this is still a one possession game.
  14. My god we have to start winning consistently just so we get a better announcing crew. These guys are GODAWFUL.
  15. Just stating the obvious, but a 14 point game feels like a 28 point game with this crew.
  16. Culture and leadership > than X's and O's. And a great football head coach will have a really good OC and DC to handle the play design and play calling. Not sure if Wilkes is that guy, but certainly not sure he's NOT that guy.
  17. Pretty much a wash. I get Rhule was at least trying. He was just in over his head, bad fit for NFL etc. Both incompetent, Siefert was an ass.
  18. Talking heads gonna say that after each loss. Eventually one of them will be right.
  19. Coaching is a key but solid QB play and a healthy CMC will help as well. And Horn in the secondary…
  20. There is so much draft speak and misdirection with teams before the draft, no one on the 4 letter network knows what each individual team is going to do for sure. They hit on an educated guess once in a while, but otherwise nahhhh. Look at all the mock drafts and how often they are complete trash by the 4th pick or so. It's easy after the fact for them to say this or that.
  21. My plan... for what it's worth (if we are keeping Rhule). -Hire an OC with NFL experience. -Draft O-line. Doesn't really matter who's there at QB with the current line. First round, then package some later round picks to move up to 2nd or 3rd if possible, and draft another offensive lineman. -Bring back Darnold and Cam. No need to trade away any draft capital or decent players currently on the roster for a QB, because we're going to be mediocre anyway at best. Darnold may be decent with a better line and another year working with the present receivers and McCaffery. Regardless, costs too much to try to upgrade at the QB position. -Play McCaffery more in the slot than at RB. Maybe we can keep him healthy longer that way. At the very least, limit his carries between the tackles for goodness sake. Then Tepper can fire Rhule next season and hopefully draft a quarterback. Of course, would rather cut ties with Rhule as option 1.
