  1. Ok I'll say this...nice job of the announcers explaining that time out.
  2. I've been holding in favor of letting Bryce take his lumps and seeing if he can develop but I'm starting to finally come around to this line of thinking.
  3. Went to a neighborhood Christmas party last night. The wife and I are pretty hungover, it's pouring and blowing like a tropical storm here at the beach. Will have the game on while half-napping in old person hangover recovery mode as punishment for overdoing it last night.
  4. 2nd interception in 2 weeks for my guy! I was BJ Hill's high school basketball coach. Best kid you'd ever want to meet and heck of a football player.
  5. I was thinking no one could handle this team worse than Tepper, then I see some of the posts here and say “yeah, it could be worse”.
  6. No need to do anything about QB next year. We need to build for the long haul. Next year gonna be a big bag of suck as well. Keep Brown and Luvu if at all possible. Lean on our defense and run game. Through the draft and free agency, focus on WR and OLine. Don’t trade away any draft capital. If Bryce sucks again next year, draft a QB or sign one in free agency— after next season. We need to build the core best we can, so when we are ready to grab that QB in the first round, he has something to work with.
  7. Bryce has been ok at times to bad much of the time to really bad some times. Different conversation. I watch other games once in a while and every time I do I see at least one catch where I go "wow". I can't tell you the last time a Panthers WR made me say "wow" (in a good way).
  8. Only if we would have hired someone else to draft them. Otherwise, wouldn't have been any big whoop.
  9. We've been in quite a few games this year. If we had ANY offense we could have won this division. Which is basically like being the best looking Duke cheerleader, but still. Our defense is good. Imagine if we weren't constantly playing from behind.
  10. Bryce is not good right now-- no doubt. But good GAWD when is the last time we've had a receiver make a play. He looks like he's throwing with more velocity today when he can step into the throw, which is promising I guess. But goodness he's been awful today.
  11. Derrick Brown is our best player and it's not even CLOSE.
  12. Chuba is a legit NFL running back. I love the way he has developed. Now if we could develop a few other players.....
  13. Yeah I'm still watching most weeks unless the weather is good enough to go chase some fish offshore.
  14. Evans averages 843 yards and 18 touchdowns a game against us. Or so it seems.
  15. I don’t see how scouts (not just ours) didn’t raise red flags about his arm strength.
  16. The best teams at ALL levels, in my opinion, have great internal (player) leaders. If we had a Thomas Davis and Jake Delhomme on this team, we would be headed in the right direction. But we still have a talent shortage without a doubt. A good coach can develop some of that as well. But just having someone to come in a shake the trees right now could be a good start. A coach with the demeanor of a Frank Reich can be successful if you have some fiery guys in the locker room. There has to be some balance. Unfortunately, doesn't seem we have those guys in the locker room.
  17. Everyone should be all in on Bryce. 1. If he develops into a good QB, we can build around him. 2. If he completely sucks, it doesn't matter who the coach is next season. We finish in the bottom 5 of the league and try again for a QB in 2025.
  18. Not ready to call him a busy with this leadership, play calling, O-line and receivers. Absolutely have no problem bringing in competition in camp next year. I agree with that 100%.
  19. We need to play Bryce the rest of the season for a few reasons. 1. Let's see if a change in coaching helps in any way. 2. The more reps he can get in live action, the better. More film for him and the coaches (and the next coaches). 3. We can see if he has a chance to be what we thought he could be when he was drafted.
