  1. DJ Johnson comes to mind. Still hasn't made a discernable impact nor developed into a solid rotational guy but will be 26 in a few days.
  2. We will have a top 5 pick. We need to just not overthink it and get someone who is the best at their position and ready to play NFL football from day one. And not some devalued position like RB or some insanely weak positional class. Do the Hurney thing. Just get a can't miss guy in the top 5. Don't make this hard. After the first round, IDK what to say.....just come to a consensus of what the scouting department and FO want to do with each pick. Once that consensus is reached, just do exactly the opposite of whatever those guys came up with.
  3. I looked back at that, I thought he was out with injury for that 2nd game. Either way, it's basically no impact and almost no impact with either QB. We have literally watched him drop numerous passes with Dalton. It's not Bryce Young dropping those, it's Legette.
  4. No it doesn't. We literally need players that can play professional football now because they are going to be playing professional football now. What help is it for them to go out there and get abused early and often without a shred of development? How about this, name one of those guys in the past decade that has panned out for us at all?
  5. They have the 29th ranked rushing defense, which is even lower than ours.
  6. Yeah, I just cannot wrap my head around the obsession with "fix er uppers." We are the neighbor with 60 rusty hulks in their yard and not a single one of them being worked on.
  7. Well it's been the 19th based rushing attack so it's less than average. Sadly, I think that rushing attack is about to get very dicey with two new OL. I suspect it's going to be a lot of TFL's and sacks this Sunday.
  8. If we had a competent FO, great. Also depends on how far. If we can get the same sort of deal we gave up to Chicago, hell yes. But, with the actual FO we have.....don't overthink it, just get BPA.
  9. Fair point but that 2001 roster was already better than this roster, I would argue.
  10. I don’t think 9-8 is realistic two year expectation for us, if I am being honest.
  11. Analytics has its uses but it isn't a substitute for using experienced eyes.
  12. You are aware that his averages with Bryce and Dalton are basically the same, right? Bryce: 4 Rec, 35 ypg, 0 TD Dalton: 3 Rec, 38.7 ypg, 0.33 TD
  13. He is statistically having his worst season but he's matched up against the best WR's just about every Sunday and having to cover for vastly longer than he needs to. That said, it has been a tough year for him by his standards. I am sure he would say so, as well. In the list of defensive worries, you really gotta dig deep to get down to where Horn is.
  14. We also haven't existed for 65 years and had 11 straight winning seasons with 10 playoff appearances, 4 Super Bowl appearances and 3 titles.
  15. Sanders has been a massive disappointment but he is also a 4th rounder. Probably should be a special teams guy for a while until he develops. We just don't have the ability to do so.
  16. Except that one player looks like he might be a 10+ year starting/possibly Pro Bowl player and the other is the guy we drafted.
  17. This game should actually be a blowout if KC wasn't choking harder in the redzone than the NFL on Taylor Swift's cock.
  18. I have yet to see any starting caliber players from this draft yet but hopefully they will emerge eventually.
  19. At least 3 seasons. I am amazed some people don't see the massive talent abyss we have to extract ourselves from. That's why we made all those cuts, to attempt to upgrade our non-NFL players to hopefully get 1 to 2 JAGs.
  20. Yeah, I have no idea what you saw but it's definitely not what I saw. There is very, very little logic or reason to the players we picked in that draft nor the position we took quite a few of them. If anything, it telegraphed that they don't have any intention of getting better through the draft for at least a couple of seasons. The free agency moves seem to be above Panthers average in some regards. OG overhaul was a big success, DB signings seem very sound, addition of Diontae was excellent. The rest of the signings are a mixed bag. I would say the disparity between the pro personnel decisions and draft decisions are massive. We will see how it turns out.
  21. Yeah, that sums up my thoughts and, as always, thanks for your insight. I know you follow this stuff very closely. The 2024 draft felt like another complete mess with very little rhyme or reason to the decisions.
  22. Time will tell but most likely it will be another scenario where once again Panthers fans are disappointed. Which, it won't even be that way anymore. It's an expectation.
  23. Our Time To Throw has to be near last in the NFL. That doesn't help.
