The draft position outside the first has pretty minimal value. Any draft position with Scott Fitterer at the helm as absolutely no value.
-
Any draft buzz about positioning this far out is complete and utter BS.
-
How about we get a competent GM before we worry about free agency? Maybe a competent HC too. Seems like a better start that failing around in free agency yet again.

I don't even know that we have to blow up the OL. We just need to figure out if these are the coaches and this is the scheme. If so, blow it up. If not, get coaches who can use these guys effectively. Start running people the fug over like we under Wilks.

And we even screwed up the Peppers situation by NOT trading him when he told us he wanted to leave.

I hope David Tepper is aware of a basic truth

If we had just kept Ron and Marty we'd be significantly better off than we are now. Let that sink in. That's how poorly Tepper's leadership has been -
15 year season ticket holder... I won't be renewing

The NFL wants to collect as many of the wealthiest people on the planet as owners as they can get their hands on. It makes the product/team value more stable. -

My guess is the OL would have still struggled even with BC. This scheme just isn't suited to most of these guys. -
I mean in theory but not when the two guys next to you are also getting dog walked.
-
But what is the difference between pass protecting 40+ times a game at guard versus LT? Without scheme change, it just is what it is
-
Yeah, that's what I mean. If we just get worse at LT, what does it matter about maybe getting marginally better at LG? It isn't gonna make Bozeman better either. They aren't gonna be playing downhill much. That's a decision for a different staff, IMO. There is no sense in shuffling the OL at this point unless we change our offense.
-
I mean plenty of us said this at the time. I think the unfortunate situation we find ourselves in is who exactly takes over at LT? Are they gonna be better? If nothing else, that was the biggest thing that killed us when BC went down. He was basically our only viable other option at OT.
-
Well supposedly he fits the mold of almost everyone on our OL minus maybe Moton and Corbett. Better suited to more aggressive running based attack that keeps them out of shotgun pass sets 80% of the game. If we had that plan, I have no idea why Bozeman, Ikey, Zavala, Mays or most the the rest of these guys are here. They literally do not fit that plan. You know I trashed Ben McAdoo before last season and during most of it. He is leaps and bounds a better OC than what we have now.

No player on this offense has made themselves look as bad as this offensive staff has made themselves look. I am not on team "Fire the coach every year" but I just don't see how you bring this staff and HC back. They aren't compatible with the team we have. So do you completely replace the team over the next few years to hope they are the coaching staff we need? Or maybe do you go and find a coaching staff that is willing and able to do what it takes with the pieces we have and make them successful. This wasn't a chicken salad sandwiches out of chicken salad project. It was making chicken salad out of chicken poo.
-
I doubt that is the issue. I rather doubt it because it isn't like we are running a scheme that is taking advantage of his abilities. It appears more that our coaching staff on the offensive side just has no idea how to do anything other than what they are doing. Or is unwilling. Same difference.
-
It isn't rare that coaches cannot get past their own ideas/vision for their teams. I have seen HOF coaches do it, mediocre coaches do it and it's a hallmark of bad coaches. This is just another example. Strangely enough, you could at least see in Rhule's schizophrenic reign that they were frantically trying to do something, ANYTHING(to a fault). But this....this is just old school being stubborn.. IMO, we should be switching to a much more simple power rushing/play action attack just like we did last year. Literally what do we have to lose? But we won't. Just trust these guys, once we get a big enough mallet, these square pegs will fit.

Sure. We could do plenty of things to make this situation better, Steve Wilks and Ben McAdoo did. Or we could just keep doing the same fuging thing every Sunday. What do you imagine we will do?
-
I don't give a fug where he is from. You think I was cheerleading any of the other JAGS we dumpster dove for this season from the waiver wire? I get annoyed that people think this level of player is really going to accomplished anything. I also do get annoyed when dumb college fanboys simp for "their dudes" without a lick of sense behind it other than that. The UNC fanboys are definitely the worst but this place has had to deal with Clemson fanboys, South Carolina fanboys, etc, etc. The fact that people are still discussing a backup player that got waived and we didn't put a claim in for is ridiculous. You have a completely unrealistic view of this entire situation. Did you think he would waltz in here and suddenly be a star? Did you think we would somehow actually change our offense for him? Did you think our offensive line would suddenly play better? This is an utterly absurd fantasy.
-
And you aren't acting like signing some scrub is going to mean a Superb Owl is imminent. Have you actually watched any Panthers football this year? Or have you been too busy fanboying for the Redskins? You notice any attempt to make any changes regardless of personnel?
-
Okay Scott. What boneheaded move do you have next?
-
Yeah, if a mid-season waiver wire JAG is in your long term plans, those plans aren't good. That's the point. We heard all this crap about "bottom of the roster churn" from Fitt. Well what the fug has that accomplished so far? You know what matters more? The top of the roster. Which, hey, at least we are consistent because the top and bottom of the roster fuging stink. I am past worrying about dumpster diving. We need to see the owner smarten up, get a legitimate NFL GM in here and a coaching staff that isn't going to beat their brains against the wall when something obviously isn't working. Until most of that transpires, why the fug would any of us worry about a 3rd string RB?
-
I mean....have you actually looked at the stats for someone like Hubbard and Carter? I mean per game averages and other metrics? Why don't you show me how much better he is? Oddly enough, that stats don't show it. They show that, at best, he is about the same when I am doing a side by side on PFR. But, I mean, by all means why not add a guy that will probably not see the field, not get used and not have an impact. I guess that could add another element of absolutely nothing to the offense. Maybe people just haven't accepted the fact that Scott Fitterer and Frank Reich and Co. are in Charlotte. It definitely doesn't seem that way. Because if they did, everyone would realize that we could have traded for both Devante Adams and Tee Higgins and this offense would only have gotten marginally better. There isn't a single thing that is going to transpire personnel wise for the rest of the season that is going to matter except for a hardcore Bears fan worried about if they will be able to land a #1 overall.
-
You are bordering on Big Kat territory with the Foreskins obsession. I fail to see how a JAG is building a better roster. If we want to build a better roster it is time to start drafting worth a fug and making smart FA moves. Waiver wire signings isn't going to add a single win.
