LOL I dont know about "one hell of a QB". He was very average, he was just an amazing leader and is as clutch as you can get. Jake always had "it". He was never a prolific QB. He never broke 4000 yards or 30 TDs and he threw a lot of picks. Don't get me wrong, he is the 2nd best QB we ever had and was the heart and soul of the team for many good years....but he was never one of the more talented QBs. He also had 2 borderline HoF WR's to throw to.

He last played in 2019. Did he opt-out due to COVID last year, or could he just not find a job?

I just saw that we are bringing Ha-Ha Clinton Dix into camp for a tryout. Anybody know is hes got anything left in the tank?

Ice up, son.

PFF Projections for Panthers QB and his Top Receivers
joemac replied to CarolinaLivin's topic in Carolina Panthers
Maybe minus the tackles part. We need to keep our Carolina QBs as far away from making tackles as we possibly can. Thats what ruined Cams career. -
PFF Projections for Panthers QB and his Top Receivers

Yeah I'm predicting ~4300-4500 yards for Sam, 28-35 TDs and 12-16 INTs. -
Yeah maybe they will actually practice those situations this year. Lol

That’s not what that means at all. And I think you know that. Dude is a rookie and there is no contact right now.

Imagine Smitty going against Bene Benwikerie for an entire game! Yikes!!

How do you learn/improve at anything? Study, repetition, practice, having a good teacher.....these are not difficult concepts to grasp.

Sam has got all the physical tools to be one of the best QBs in the NFL. Hes got a rocket for an arm, quick release, goes thru his progressions, is mobile...its just the menal aspect of the game that he needs to work on. That, and not being in a dogshit system and organization like the Jets. I fully expect him to break out like crazy this year. I really hope I am right. I just see no way he is worse than he was in NY. Hes got all the tools to put it together, and I think Brady is going to do the best coaching of his career to ensure Sam and the Panthers offense kick major ass this year.

I think he will be better than Teddy simply because he has a stronger arm, is not afraid to take risks, and is not afraid to chuck it down the field. Teddy would have been fine had he thrown more TD passes. I predict Sam to have around 4000 yards passing, 25-32 TDs and 12-14 INTs.

I don't think he was banging his brother. Nothing wrong with a little double team action between bros.

NFL Sunday Ticket’s last season (with DirectTV)

Man, wtf? That’s bullshit… -
NFL Sunday Ticket’s last season (with DirectTV)

I live in Texas now, so am I understanding this correctly - there is not going to be a way to watch Panthers games this year without subbing to DirecTV proper? No individual streaming package like in previous years? I wish there was a way just to subscribe to individual teams games, like just a Panthers package or NFC South package for like 100 bucks. I’d be all over that. -
Yeah they are probably trying to trade him. They must be hella high on Terrace Marshall. I get it though, if you think you can replace a guy making 8 million a year, with a 2nd round rookie, then why the hell not?

To Ron and Co's defense, why would they change anything then? We had steamrolled thru the entire league all year, and dominated both of our playoff games. That team was one of the most ass-kicking teams on both sides of the ball that I have ever seen. Now, in hindsight its easy to say they should have done this, and should have done that, but at that time, there was no need to change anything as we had kicked the poo out of everybody we played all season. I think the expectation was that Cam and company would continue to shine in that game - we just ran into an all-time great defense with an all time great plan, and the refs did us no favors all game long.

Wow - an actual complimentary, glowing report on the state of our Panthers. I am shocked. I agree with everything this guy says. This year is going to be somewhat of a transition year, and we are going to compete with everyone we play. I am predicting 9-10 wins this year, and challenging for a Wild Card late into the year. Next year is when we put the league on notice and battle for the Division and NFC Title. I am high on Darnold, Brady, Rhule and the entire Defense.

Holy Hell...PFF says we have the 20th ranked WR corp in the NFL this year. This is just absolutely absurd. I dont know why they poo on the Panthers so much with all of their rankings, but I think this one takes the cake. Im not saying we're number 1 or anything, but we damn sure are much, much better than 20th. https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-ranking-all-nfl-receiving-corps-ahead-of-the-2021-season
